Scarcely believable turnaround, yet despite the comeback, I got the impression France needed to win it while Argentina were still shell shocked. Impossible to call which way this could go, but at least Argentina can regroup.

The ole chants lasted about 60 seconds from the Argentina fans. You often see players adjust to keep the ole's going but it was way too soon. Arg needed to just stick to the way they were playing.
It looks like Argentina's wide attackers all share the same brain cell. Not a single useful cutback after being released into so much space. Dribble first, think later.
France have one of the jammiest keepers in goal though.

Proper game this. Took 70 minutes for it to be a two way game, but it is well worth the wait.

Still believe having refs on opposite sides will improve the game from marginal and bad calls. Flip side is more calls are made as more would be seen from opposite sides of the pitch.
He did the same in the Copa America final and it worked, to be fair. Also, Di Maria probably doesn’t have the legs to keep the intensity longer than that and they already have one passenger on defense.
Good that we will have extra time, but, Gosh, Argentina should be down to 9 men by now if the referee was doing a proper job. Enzo's foul on Coman was a second yellow while Otamendi's foul on the penalty was a last man situation.

I would prefer Argentine to win because honestly Messi winning Copa America and World Cup before retiring will feel like football winning.
