I have a gut feeling that today will be either race win or a DNF for Lewis
Yea.Massa did extremely well there to get out of Kimi's way
I think they restart from the positions they were in when it was red flagged
sure BBC said they start from their positions at the red flagApparently not. Because they didn't complete a full lap, they restart from the positions they started the race in.
The red flag means he gets a free front nose change though, if it's needed.Hamilton will be spitting - amazing start, and now he has to do it all again. And he's also reporting damage now.
That crash could have been an awful lot worse
Ah right. If it's behind the safety car as well then Hamilton will have a much harder job gaining those places againApparently not. Because they didn't complete a full lap, they restart from the positions they started the race in.
Not an unreasonable point, but it's not like he lost traction on the grass, it was a huge bump/trench that knocked the car into the spin.Maybe drivers shouldn't just floor it coming back on track across grass? I feel like they have been doing that a lot recently and I'm amazed this doesn't happen more often.

That takes time tbf.Even at half speed he'd have jumped in the air, it's awful, awful track design. Farcical. As I said earlier, who the feck digs a trench three foot off the racing line?
And now we have to wait at least fifteen minutes whilst they repair the guard rail. This is a farce! Terrible organisation.
Cheers for that, I did not know about the 4 hours. It's not farcical to have to repair a guard rail ffs How often does that even happen?
By the way there is a 4 hour time limit on this one, the 2 hour limit isn't in effect.

Dont agree, they have to repair it, they cant race with it damaged like that.
AHH I see what you mean, completely agree.Oh no, I agree, but it's typical British workmanship. Thirty blokes standing around staring at it, but no one actually hurrying to replace the damn thing.
Meanwhile Vettel - who not so very long ago people questioned whether he could actually pass other drivers - has 4 world championships. This kind of thing is why I only take a fleeting interest in F1.
