The F1 Thread 2014 Season

Well done Nico, still suspicious about his qualifying but he raced well and deserved the win overall

Body language so notably awkward, Hamilton will come back for revenge

"You know that point when you're warming up some soup, and it simmers for a while then it suddenly boils! Were there!"
:lol::lol:

Hamilton is the biggest knob end in F1. The stick Vettel and Alonso have got on here , yet he is the biggest whingeing cnut by a mile.

Hamilton get's a massive amount of undeserved shit from people believe me, way more than either of the two you just mentioned.

Indeed. He did the best he could do today. Nico's start meant he never really had a chance to catch him. Next few races will be interesting.

Spot on. I don't mind all the F1 drivers but I just can't get behind Lewis, he just annoys me.

Saturday settled it, everyone knew that would be the case. Hamilton got fecked by his team mate delibrate or not, I wouldn't expect anyone else to be happy in that situation.

I don't think Lewis said anything out of order and he's made it pretty clear from now on its all out war and thats only good for us fans.

All he did was whinge his way through the race, he is the most miserable cnut in F1 , simple.

Fact is he will win the title this year as Mercedes planned so why the feck does he always moan when things don't work out for him?

because thats the way he is , he does not know any other way , take that away and he would not be the same, would you have told Keane to stop playing the way he did? I can understand the hate for him on here and other sites and a lot of it is his own making.
I am a big Lewis fan and want him to win, but I also accept he can be a massive tool.

The pressures are very different this year, when they guy on the other side of the garage is the only thing stopping you it's going to get intense. I expect a heck of a lot more agitation and desperation. There's no one quick enough to be in between them so it's going to a 7 point swing from race-to-race, it's the nature of the beast, these guys know this is an incredible chance and their goals have adjusted accordingly. Lewis needs to calm down, I think Monaco is a big thing from a driver's perspective but Lewis is only 4 points behind and I'd back Lewis to pull out results more often than Nico when he's not quick enough. I think Lewis is kind of over-psyching himself at the moment, trying to get a siege mentality going but he's having a go at his own engineers which isn't going to do him any favours. It's interesting, expecting him to mega at the next few GP's.

So he moans on the radio? And? They all do when stuff doesn't go their way and Hamilton is very much a heart on his sleeve kind of racer. I'm sure if we had access to radio information throughout history there would be plenty of the same types of comments.

And by no means is it a guranteed title for Hamilton, Rosberg is no mug and because of Mercedes dominance one DNF could effectively be the title. Hamilton already had to claw back a 25 point gap through no fault of his own, it took him 4 straight wins to do so.

Hamilton is a better driver than Rosberg, if he can avoid reliability problems he should win the title. That is provided of course that he keeps his toys IN the pram and does his talking on the track

Mercedes took Hamilton on to be the World Champion and that is how it will end.
I feel he will have the title wrapped up with at least 2 races left.
If the shit hits the fan big time between these two then Mercedes will favour Hamilton.
Only my opinion.

Just got back from Monaco last night.

Watching the Mercedes in action at Monaco they looked so much faster than anything else out there.
Also, Rosberg was pulling away from Hamilton every lap only to be hauled back by a safety car, specially at the 1/3 mark of the race.

On the engine noise of the new cars: the Formula 3.5 are so much louder than the F1 cars. It's not even close.

Next up the Canadian GP in a week's time. I think this is the place where Hamilton recorded his first F1 win. Looks likely to win again unless hit by mechanical gremlins

I'm hoping for some rain or we could be in for a boring race.

I wouldn't be so sure. Some time ago I read that Rosberg is/was very well liked in the team and he was there from the start.
Could see them letting Hamilton go if/when it gets clear that they can't continue with both drivers after the season and go for another high profile driver. Maybe they will take another try to get Vettel.

That's what people said when Alonso joined Mclaren as well. It's never that simple.
