The F1 Thread 2013 Season

Best race in ages. Suppose Pirelli have made the race more interesting like they were asked, I doubt they planned it to happen like this.

Hamilton 5th, man thats a massive save if he ends up there, he was dead last. All the championship rivals gain on Vettel, ended up alright this one.

Farcical tyre situation though, needs to be sorted.

Got to feel for him though. With the way he's managed to come back it could have easily been a win had it not been for the tyres.

Oh yeeeaaaaah! Lewis done good to get within a sniff of a podium here.

Best race of the season so far by miles, Lewis did well to get 4th.
Nice win for Rosberg, but what a stunning race for Webber in his last British GP

Turned out to be a fantastic race. Quite glad Vettel slipped out of it now, made it so much more exciting and really opens up the championship.

Good weekend for Mercedes and Ferrari. Aside from Rosberg's win, Hamilton Alonso and Massa in particular were quality.

Both Hamilton and Massa did great considering what happened to them earlier in the race.

Good race, especially at the end.

Wait, how on earth is anyone considering that a "fantastic race"? Because Vettel went out and the last five laps were exciting?! The race was an absolute farce. If you want the field to keep getting artificially bunched up to keep it exciting, watch feckin' Nascar.

The tyre situation was a farce but you have to admit that the last 5/10 laps were edge of the seat stuff with overtaking and it was an incredibly close finish too.

I fully expect a huge shitstorm again after this one. There has to be, something has to change.

Oh, yeh, I agree that the last five laps were great to watch, but it was still very far from a "fantastic race". I mean, they were only that exciting because the field was so bunched up, and that was because the tyres were so pathetic. Why don't we only have ten lap races if that's what people want?

Yup accept the last few laps...it was not a fantastic race by any means. Eventful for sure.

It was really entertaining but pretty dangerous with the tyres too. Pirelli are going to get some slack after this.

Pirelli should have the contract taken away from them. Today was beyond a joke, but the tyres have been farcical all season. It's turning the sport into a laughing stock when all everyone has been talking about all season is the tyres.

Indeed.

Raikonnen must be seriously considering leaving Lotus next year if another drive becomes available. They seem to make dodgy tactical decisions fairly frequently. They're almost as bad as McLaren and Force India.

Get him in that Red Bull, stat.

He should be knocking on Horners door right now.

Top race. Big concerns re: the tyres though.

Well done to Hamilton, Alonso and Massa in particular as you guys have said on here. All great drives considering the circumstances. Rosberg kept a cool head through it all and probably merited the win too.
