The F1 Thread 2013 Season

Could do with a safety car this one, the front runners are all getting clean air pitstops.

WTF is he talking about saying Lewis is on target for a one stop? He's not gonna do 50 fecking laps on these tyres

He's a dummy sometimes.

Hamilton is just racing those behind him, Vettel has got this one in the bag barring a badly timed safety car.

I really don't get the concept they were trying to follow with the tire design.

Why make tires that barely last 20 rounds, just to get more pit stops?

What's supposed to be so great about pit stopping that we need to have more of them?

I quite like races with pit stops, adds to the excitement, but I do agree that these tryes are not right and the compound needs looking at.

FFS Kimi needs to save fuel, he wont be in the top 6 now.

You must feel like a massive twat fecking that up tbh

I'd say his race is over for today. Not going to manage a podium.

Idk but I think the actual racing should decide a race and not who does the faster pit stops. Sure it adds some level of team performance to the racing but idk it's not really what I looking motor racing for tbh.

Softer tyres offer better grip do they not? So faster lap times, more grip to brake later, better chance of overtaking no?

To me thats part and parcel of F1, there is more to it than just how fast you can drive, much better than one set lasting all race.

Yes I think so but that isn't my problem, I just don't like it if cars have to go for 3+ pit stops every race because the tires get fecked after a few laps. I know they tried to get the teams away from the one pit stop races because they thought races were to boring but for me additional pit stops don't add any excitement to races let alone the fact that the racers constantly have to worry about tires melting beneath them if they drive too fast/hard.

I want to see great action on the race track and not in the pit lane and not see racers constantly have to perform at a lower level than they are capable just because the tires can't take it and as far as I can tell the tires this year were intentionally designed to be so fragile and that's the point I fail to understand how this is supposed to add anything interesting to racing.

They're actually overtaking each other! I can't believe it!

Will someone PLEASE think of the delta times????

Hmm, on about Raikkonen maybe getting in trouble? Wasn't Coulthard saying "I cant see any blue flags"? So surely it's a fault of the stewards for not waving.

This race is exciting in a way, but shit because kimi is getting boned and vettel is strolling it.
