That was an exciting race. Great drive from Alonso and Kimi, especially with the nose problem the later had. I am still amazed with the way Vettel made up 13 seconds in the span of just 4 laps on SOFT tires. Testing times for Lewis that and he just managed to hold on. Happy for Kimi. Hopefully he can win in Bahrain.

Watching Kimi be this amazing for the last year now makes you really wish he hadn't left the sport at all. I'd love for him to win the title this year.

I agree with others that think Alonso is a real chance at the WDC. The Ferrari car looks better than last year for sure. Raikkonen did well with a damaged front wing, I wonder whether he might have won it had it not been damaged.
On a side note, if Webber didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all. First his car runs out of fuel in qualifying, then it gets stuck in third gear in the race, then to cap it all off a wheel inexplicably decides to fall off.

He would have if he hadn't locked up on that turn right at the end.
I thought Hamilton was the one who locked up and smoked Vettel at the last corner.
he made 2 small mistakes in that corner, he was slipping all over the place, his tyres were gone,but to make up 13 secs in those 4 laps was fantastic, pity they dont race like that all the time.
A couple of turns earlier when Hamilton and Vettel overtook a back-marker Vettel over shot the corner. If he didn't do that he probably would have got by into third

Oh yeah I remember that one. But the last corner I thought Lewis blew it by locking up.
Jacques Villeneuve is in the BBC Forum and he says he does not like modern F1, just driver racing round minding there own business he says it is boring, is he right, I am not sure.

Yup, they need to change the tyre compounds and get rid of DRS imo.
Any thoughts on Perez? I know he's new to the team but he seems to struggling with this car.
Edide has a good idea , if you dont set a competitive time in Q3, you have to start the race on the softs.
From Barcelona onwards teams will have an extra set of tyres for Q1.

Yeah new team, benefit of the doubt for now but I just don't see it. Ferrari had him under lock and key with Massa under performing and still let him walk to their rivals. Fact is he has been riding on the rep of a couple of decent races from last year, you gotta be good every week to drive with the big boys.
Probably not. Teams are thinking of the race and that won't change until the compounds do.
Think Pirelli will have to change something when we get to Europe. I like having DRS at certain tracks where overtaking is near impossible but today it made overtaking too easy, think they need to rethink the positioning for next years race.
He has got a point, majority of the time the drivers are following a delta time.

For once I agree with EJ, I hate post race investigations.
She's covered a lot of different motorsport series, including moto gp, but I don't know how clued up she was on them.
5 place grid penalty for Guttierez.
Same penalty that Schumacher got at Barcelona last year so at least they are consistent.
