The F1 Thread 2013 Season

Watching FP1, not sure I've ever seen such visual tyre wear onboard before, you can literally see the tyre change colour as the rubber rolls across it and thats on the harder tyre.

Lotus.....well Kimi, look in best shape at this point, cars just kinder on its tyres than the rest at the moment.

Sounds like this year is going to go to the team that best manages the tyres, not the team that can make the best car. :(

Doesn't create the greatest of racing when drivers don't want to push to the limits due to tyres

Seems like I made a judgement error picking a Sauber and Williams driver for my fantasy team  Was worth a gamble though.

I was watching the same, I don't think I have seen that happen before.

Some people just think of it as "should of" instead of "should've", not that crazy.

The GP2 guy was a bit of scumbag there.

I see Sky's build up programme is still utter wank.

I'm not liking how these tires to be honest. I understand tire management is essential in F1 but it shouldn't limit the drivers' ability to push their cars to the maximum. The soft tires in Australia were a joke to be honest, how many laps did they do at one point? 6?

I dont see the drivers tiring all that much in quali, the race can be pretty draining but I think the tyre management is crucial this weekend.

couldnt resist

Quali 1 has just started. Drivers seem to not be bothered going out so far.

Will be interesting to see where Mclaren manage to put themselves here.

I'd say Button makes it to Q3 and finishes 9th or 10th with Perez going out in Q2.

Too much oversteer in the Mclaren, yep Button for about 9th maximum.

Yeah, i think that Button and Perez will look better than they are in Q1 and get shown up in Q2. Bianchi looks to be in a league of his own within the back markers. Was much faster in Australia too.

I don't understand why Mercedes, Alonso kept running after securing their place in Q2, shouldn't they maintain the tires and not ruin them by running more?

Lewis says its raining, could be a few shocks now for those who have not got laps in.

Apparently it has be chucking down in downtown KL, heading towards the circuit I hear
