Yeah but thats not for blocking in Quali. I think Nick Heidfeld got something similar a few years back but not recently has it been used. I mean they explained its because both cars made it through anyway but thought it was just weird its not the usual 5 place for blocking.
I remember reading Perez got a 5 place drop in Germany for some blocking in quali. Stewards said the severity was down to him committing two incidents in the session, im guessing this wasn't that severe but needed a punishment hence the 3 place and not 5.
It would be so much better for the sport if Maldonado just fecking left all together. I really cant stand the cnut and the main reason he ever got that seat was due to the sponsorship deals he brought in, now I know there are other drivers in the same position as that in terms of sponsorship but at least the rest of them dont spend every race either blocking people on hot laps, driving them off the road and just being all round stupid.
