The F1 Thread 2012 Season

McLaren fecked Hamilton by leaving him out there, should have pitted for some baked Wets and gone for it. It's just not a good wet weather car although they improved their inter pace at least.

Race will be dry, might be a good one.

McLaren used to be such a good car in the wet and Hamilton could make it do things.
It is like the car has gone backwards.

It's too stiff nowdays but its part of their current design philosophy, they just have to live with it.

An FIA Technical Report on Sunday morning in Hockenheim has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons in F1 circles. The FIA Technical Delegate Jo Bauer reported that “having examinded the engine torque map of cars 1 and 2 it became apparent that the maximum torque output of both engines is significantly less in the mid rpm range than previously seen for these engines at other events”.

He went on “in my opinion this is therefore in breach of Article 5.5.3 of the Technical regulations as the engines are able to deliver more torque at a given engine speed in the mid rpm range. Furthermore this new torque map will artificially alter the aerodynamic characteristics of both cars which is also in contravention of TD 036-11.”

It is not clear what TD 036-11 is but one presumes it is a technical directive, or clarification.

Article 5.5.3 states that “The maximum accelerator pedal travel position must correspond to an engine torque demand equal to or greater than the maximum engine torque at the measured engine speed. The minimum accelerator pedal travel position must correspond to an engine torque demand equal to or lower than 0Nm.”

The FIA Stewards are now considering the matter.

Bad news for RB if true.

They can be moved to the back of the grid if found guilty of being in breach of the rules.

I must admit I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that Red Bull would do something dodgy.

feck you Christian Horner

You know what fecks me off about Bernie too? The cnut claims that Sky have done a great job this year and there is talk of F1 being taken from freeview in the future, the only good thing on Sky is the commentary, everything else from the 3 other dipshits doing the buildup to the ridiculous touch screen tech crap to Georgie Thompson knowing feck all about the sport is truly rubbish.

No further action taken even though they don't accept Red Bull's explanations. What a load of shit.

Sky's breadth of coverage is excellent. They have a little catching up to do in the charm apartment but it still has everything the most hardcore of F1 fans could ask for. Besides, BBC wanted to dump it altogether - only sharing with Sky means any races remains at the BBC.

So the stewards do not accept all of the arguments or explanations of the team however there is no further action regardless. fecking wankers

Now we have to listen to Horner go on about how they had no concerns and how they were always 100% certain the car complied and was legal. Wankers, wankers the lot of them.

A bit of catching up? the panel doing the build up is an utter joke, there is no personality or charisma at all. They all need to be dumped and changed for a new team. BBC is way ahead when it comes to the build up and the only reason they are falling behind in commentary is because Ben Edwards is a tosser.

It's basically the stewards saying they don't like it but they can't really argue against it within the rules.

So the bottom line is that they've done their jobs in making the most of the regs.

Who is this tosser that is the main presenter on Sky? He is like a really shit version of Jake Humphrey.

iSparskyf1.

Georgie Thompson seems a bit pointless, plus Davidson is wasted. They should be using him instead of Hill/Herbert.

Watch Maldonando dish out his own form of justice to the Red Bulls........who am I kidding, it will be Hamilton again

Lewis eaten alive off the line, schumacher all over the finger and JB seemed to get off to a flying start there too.

What the feck were they doing to Senna's car there?
