The F1 Thread 2012 Season

I think he's probably well aware of the immense pressure on him right now and doesn't feel he needs to be reminded of that.

Given that it's Kimi, I reckon it's the opposite. He feels no pressure, knows what needs to be done and just doesn't want someone breaking his focus by blaring into his ears to tell him crap he already knows.

What did he say? feck sake I hate working weekends. Can't hear shit.

Pit wall: "You need to keep working all four tyres, Kimi. Keep the heat in them."

Kimi: "Yes, yes, yes. I know. You don't need to keep reminding me every ten seconds."

Radio: "Alright Kimi, keep all 4 tyres busy" or something like that.

Kimi: "Yes. Yes. Yes. I know you don't have to remind me every 10 seconds."

feck the commentary we need to just have an audio of kimis radio.

Reminder via radio to conserve his car, etc.

Kimi replied with a hurried "Yes, yes, yes" and then scalds his engineer for bothering to tell him stuff he already knows. I think he said something along the lines of "Yes, yes, yes, I know that, I'm doing it".

EDIT: Totally forgot the classic "10 seconds" comment.

The finger is going to pick these guys off easily.

Please kimi, I can't stand the finger winning here. Seeing him on the podium will be hard enough.

If Webber wasn't struggling (well, relatively) in exactly the same car as Vettel you'd think the car was rigged. How can one man start from the back and still have so much more than everyone else?

It's like he's that really good kid at football in primary school who gives you two extra men, a 10-0 headstart and doesn't have the keeper just to give you a chance.

Alonso could find himself prey to button and vettel here, both of them will have DRS behind Alonso.

Webber is just shit and has been since he bottled it at Korea in 2010.

Because his car was already faster than 21 of the other driver's cars on the grid?

It helps when he is a much better driver than Webber. I know I can't stand Webber, even before this race, because he has the best car on the grid but still gets no-where near close enough to challenge for the world championship. Vettel is an amazing driver, there is no denying it. He is exceptional at keeping up his pace, and he also has the best car on the grid. A bit like Schumacher in his Ferrari days.
