The F1 Thread 2011 Season

 Your hate for Hamilton can't be hidden can it.

Yea, obviously if I think Hamilton has done something wrong it's because I'm biased. I don't have any trouble giving him credit when it's due, he drove a fantastic race today, and it was a shame for him that he had to manage fuel at the end, but you can't just shunt someone off when they get past you, regardless of who you are.

It's physically impossible for a front wing to hit midway on another car without the car being hit being in front.

Horner squirming a bit here.

And thats what happens when the guy on the outside doesnt give enough room. How many of you last season said it was Hamilton's fault when Webber hit him at Singapore? This was roles reversed and all of a sudden its Hamilton's fault again.

I dont like team orders, but im not surprised. Vettel has been the no1 driver there for a while.

My take on the incident, if Schumacher got a penalty for what he did then for consistency sake Hamilton should get one too.

FWIW I think both shouldn't be penalties.

Honestly I have no idea, I've sleor since the.

What I do know is that Massa was in front of Hamilton, then Hamilton hit Massa, that's just a fact. Will he get punished? Possibly, it will be reviewed I do know that.

Just watch that video up a few posts.

 yeah because that is what were saying.

Your response to my criticism was "give it a rest". If I think he's done something wrong then I'll say so thank you very much. Just as I'll say so when I think he's done a good job, same as with anyone else.

What about it?

I honestly have no clue why you're going on here, what makes you think everyone blames Hamilton for that?

At least go through the relevant thread and quote some reactions of those commenting on today's if you want to back your point up.

I'm pointing out its the same type of incident, and Webber got no penalty.

Regarding the team orders; I agree it's crap but I can understand it from the teams point of view, the last thing they want is the drivers taking each other out (again!). It's not like they ordered an overtake and besides it seems very much like Webber ignored the order anyway.

Am I alone in finding Domenicali a really nice guy? Possibly not the best team boss for that reason, but he seems like a top guy.

horner looking like a spastic cnut shocker

I know you're going to say I'm just anti-Hamilton here, but I don't think those two incidents are the same. On the video above they are right on the apex on the inside and Hamilton closed in on him, whereas today they were on the outside of the corner when he clattered into him.

However, seeing the replays he seems to have been understeering so maybe I was a bit quick to slag him off, but it's still him who has caused the contact and without it Massa would have stayed ahead.

Schumacher was quite a way behind Kobayashi and just plowed into him.

And Hamilton was behind the metaphoric b pillar 'in this circumstance as F1 cars don't have doors' At that point it is consider the driver in fronts corner especially considering that Hamilton was going backwards. He lunged into the corner to try and get up the inside and understeered out into Massa.

Schumacher never expected Kobyashi to come back onto the racing line. Only massive understeer put him in line and you can see Schumacher try to pull out of it.

You crack me up. I know you hate lewis but for the record i never said Hamilton shouldnt be penalized.

In my eyes, the Schumi incident was much more clean cut than the Lewis one.

The rest of the season's going be really interesting. Red Bull vs Ferrari it seems, and today the Ferrari was much easier on its tyres and fundamentally quicker when it needed to be too. Towards the end, Massa also began to match Alonso's lap times, so it is quite clear that the pace is now definitely there. Throw in Button and Hamilton occasionally perhaps and we're going to have a great second half of the season!

Its a bit early to totally write off McLaren but i would be happy to see Alonso win a few ahead of Vettel.

whats with this whole "look but never stare" thing that brundle says at the start of the race, heard it a few times this season, when is murray walker on??

Webber on team orders: "I'm not fine with it, no. Of course I ignored the team and I was battling to the end."

He's talking about the red lights, I think the idea is if you're staring hard at them you'll react slower to them going out.

Completely weird question, does anyone know if it is on terrestrial in Italy? Im there for German grandprix and wanna be watching it
