He didn't, he took the normal line, Hamilton tried to drive into a gap that was never going to be there by the time he got there, it was a dumb move.
Past his team mate after getting a better exit. They are both at fault for it but you dont need to race that hard this early against team mates. Lewis lost his head again though, he was always gonna be a danger today after T1.
To be fair, he was much faster and coming up the inside, Button just moved over and fecked him up, I'm not sure what Button thought Hamilton was going to do as the faster car and already coming up his inside moving over and hitting him.
They were both at fault though.
Jesus christ, how the hell was Button meant to see him in these conditions? He's got 10 foot rooster tails out the back of the car and that idiot decides to put his car in the stupidest of positions.
Ultimately a racing incident IMO. Button didn't see him. On a normal day he'd have given him room.
The way I see it only one of them was 'racing hard' there, and it was Hamilton. Button was taking the normal line and wouldn't have thought for one minute that his team mate of all people would be stupid enough to try and stick one up the inside there. If he wasn't staring at his mirror (which he'd have no reason to be) he'd never have seen him.
After the replay that was pretty clear but either way he knew he was there somewhere. Lewis obviously thought he knew he was there, ultimately a racing incident but again Lewis lost his head.
Jesus feck it's Colin Farell not Steve McQueen. What a small minded wank obsessed world we live in.

Button came out of the last corner slow, Hamilton was much faster Hamilton swung out to the pit wall on the straight and started coming up Buttons inside, Button didn't see him and turned into Hamilton taking the normal line and smashed up Hamiltons rear wheel. Button on the radio shouting 'what is he doing?'
