The F1 Thread 2011 Season

Well I agree with the red flag now.

10 mins ago they should've been racing. Kobayashi wins out as they can change tires.

That's the point i was trying to make, the safety car came out too early, and they shouldn't have started behind safety car

Oh feck off square head

Did anyone else's picture cut out when Lewis was told what Jenson had said over the radio?

BBC scared what he might say?!

Lewis lost the plot. He surely can't have expected Button to see him? Stupid mistake.

As for Vettel, he had no reason to bullshit there, if he said it was bad, it must have been!

Well yeah you would expect him to see him because I don't think in the heat of the moment any driver thinks in their head "I wonder if he can see me".

Lewis could have carried on by what he said too, McLaren told him to park it. I can feel it gents, I can feel a split coming.

He felt he was half a car up his inside so he would have expected him to see him, interesting what he said about wanting to come in and they told him to retire. They can't have a good relationship right now.

Hamilton leaving McLaren? You really think so?

I'm not so sure about that. He got the jump, but he surely should have at least clicked that it was a silly risk, especially that early.

Probably.

Some people just look for excuses to slag Seb off.

I couldnt care less who said it, apart from the hair pin the track was very drivable on the racing line, by the time button had said anything you could see the racing line had disappeared completely.

The signs are there, the early signs anyway. Lewis general demeanour and comments about his races this season and at times last season indicate to me he isn't that happy there anymore. A few wins would clear it all up ofcourse and the lack of top line seats available makes it improbable.

There was about 4 minutes between them.

I'm quite sure the reigning WDC and the guy leading it again by miles and who was leaving the rest of the pack miles behind him is far better placed to make a call on the driveability of the track than you are.

It wasn't at Monaco was it? Tragic if it is still running, we have seen about 10 laps racing.

The distance of all races, from the start signal referred to in Article 38.9 to the chequered flag, shall be
equal to the least number of complete laps which exceed a distance of 305 km (Monaco 260km). However,
should two hours elapse before the scheduled race distance is completed, the leader will be shown the
chequered flag when he crosses the control line (the Line) at the end of the lap during which the two hour
period ended. However, should the race be suspended (see Article 41) the length of the suspension will be
added to this period

Sporting reg 5.3.

cheers for that , so we should get a race if daylight allows

Paul Di Resta: "I thought they'd have red flagged it a lot sooner".

Add him to the pussy list.

Hopefully, it will ultimately be Charlie's call as to how long they expect the weather to continue. It happened in Malaysia a few years back iirc when they just said race over and awarded half points.

Well if this is declared after 25 laps then they have robbed the fans that paid good money to get there. I hope for F1's sake they don't feck this decision up, they already fecked North America over once.

2005 was a fecking joke. More Michelin to blame though, really.

They could do what IndyCar do and thats run the race on the Monday, I don't think thats ever happened in F1 history though.

I'm so pleased I chose to go to the scorching Monaco GP rather than this
drenched Montreal one.

Why do they keep going on about the underside of the F1 cars....Glocks was removed from in front of me at Monaco and its as flat as a pancake underneath.

the race might not even restart.... will it be resume only tomorrow?

They are mostly flat until you get to the diffuser, thats where the money is spent.
