The F1 Thread 2010 Season

Perfect timing from Williams and Hulkenberg.

Great to see Williams back up there

If Alonso wins in Brazil, he will be champion unless Webber is higher than fourth

If Alonso is second, he will be champion unless Webber is higher than eighth, Hamilton higher than fourth or Vettel wins

If Alonso is third, he will be champion unless Webber finishes in the top 10, Hamilton in the top four and Vettel in the top three

If Alonso does not finish on the podium, it will go to Abu Dhabi

Come on nando!

Brilliant!

anyone see the smedley and massa bit before quali? fecksake smedley may as well jump in and drive the car for him

Would make the final race interesting if it finished - Vettel, Lewis, Webber, Alonso. I still believe there a final twist left in the championship battle - it will be Vettel or Lewis winning.

Tomorrow promises to be a great race but is there generally overtaking in Brazil or is it one of those tracks where the grid places will largely determine the result ?

Any F1 fans in here been to the Monaco GP.......I'm going next year and need to know which grandstand has the best view.

Any info will be appreciated.

I have never been but if you are looking to get a seat in terms of the best action you can at a street circuit you either want to be at the Nouvelle Chicane or Tabac to Louis Chiron.

Oh and I am mighty jealous.

Armed attackers have targeted British Formula One driver Jenson Button in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, his McLaren racing team have confirmed.

His car was attacked, but Button was unhurt, McLaren said.

Button had been in practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, and will start 11th on the grid.

Brazil's major cities have a bad record for serious crimes of violence, which have caused concern ahead of major events like the 2014 World Cup.

"Would-be assailants made an attempt to approach the car that was carrying Jenson Button" on Saturday, said the statement from McLaren.

Button was quickly driven away by an armed policemen in the reinforced armoured vehicle provided by McLaren, Reuters news agency reports.

"The police driver of Jenson's vehicle reacted swiftly and, using avoidance techniques, rapidly forced his way through the traffic, taking Jenson and the other occupants of the car immediately away from any danger and back to their hotel," McLaren said.

Can't seem to see that stand R_Nick ;)

Cheers Leg-End

You know, I was recently thinking on reading the caf, that Marching was an exception to the Leeds rule. I even thought to myself, that next time I'm at a game and the 'we all hate Leeds scum' starts to ring out I'd add a little 'except Marching' at the end. He's cool I though, seems a good egg.

Now? Pft, enjoy Monaco ya bastard!

Shit, that's bad! I remember reading a while ago an article about this GP - I think it wad James Alan - and it was saying that every year when they get to this event the drivers who pick them up at the airport have to remove the official 'F1' stickers and accreditation from their cars when driving around other than at the circuit because otherwise they are targeted. Bloody madness.

I'm watching, quite glad it's dry, I want to see how it goes down without any safety car interruptions to screw anyone over or hand the momentum to someone undeservingly.

It probably will go to the final race, but I wouldn't be shocked if Alonso finalised it here you know.

Come on Nando! Fingers crossed Hulkenberg doesn't make a rookie error when faced with Alonso.

red bull are breaking clear, alonso need to get past hulkenberg quickly
