The F1 Thread 2010 Season

If the new part had an advantage, it would be on both cars, especially on the lead car. Having the part on the second car means they were getting data for a subsequent race. I dont believe there is anything wrong with team orders anyway. Both drivers cant win one WDC anyway - its best to back one horse.

But what about when vettel had the new equipment and webber made the no 2 comment?

Sorry, Hamilton is a great driver, but that wasnt a very good drive from him today. He was moaning to get going and then was overtaken instantly and struggled for pace for about 10 laps until the worst of the standing water had gone, and then he was getting dropped by Vettel and Alonso, and then he's on the radio saying the light is fine and the next thing we know he's 10 seconds down on Alonso. The best thing that can be said about his drive today was that he kept it on the track.

Considering he was in the 3rd best car which was very harsh on its tires, finished 2 and finished a few light years ahead of his teammate and seemed to be the only one with balls to actually want to race I thought he did well, no?

You can't tell him that, he went off the boil for literally no reason last sunday. I can't imagine his face when Vettel's engine shat its pants, probably the same mine when Schumacher took out Hill in 94.

His balls didn't do him any favours when it came to actually going racing though did they? So many on here here were queueing up to suck him dry for saying he wanted to get going, it's totally overlooked that he was immediately overtaken. Then after each restart from the SC periods he was left for dead by Vettel and Alonso, particularly with Vettel whom Brundle couldn't believe was being so attacking on each restart.

But no, Lewis is a racer, all the other chumps are out there just to make up the numbers

For daring to say that golden boy didn't drive a great race? Yea ok!

There's such a bunch of hypocrits in here, there was people wishing for Vettel and Alonso to crash, loving it when Webber span out, loving it when Vettels engine failed, which is all fine, but when I say anything about poor ickle Lewi everyone gets their knickers all twisted and starts having a go, it's brilliant it really is.

It's been like that on here since Hamilton burst onto the scene.

Nick just look at some of your post of the race weekend some were as bad as match day thread talk. As for me I dont ever want anyone to crash im sure Led-End wouldn't either but yeah some say they want them to crash but bring yeah self to that level makes you just as bad. There are just as many who hate Lewis on here look over the net hes probably the most hated driver in F1 for some reason.

I never normally want to see crashes, and my posts about him binning it were in reaction to his cockiness before the race got going 'oooh I need inters' etc and the McLaren mechanics cheering at Webbers crash. And my posts about him were no worse than the others I mentioned above, so why is that people only pick up on the ones about Hamilton?

Didn't you get the memo? We're supposed to jump on the bandwagon because he's English and races for McLaren. Get with the times, Nick!

I'm surprised just how deeply Nick feels his anti Hamilton sentiment

He doesn't like him fair enough though, not a crime

He just annoys me, and his over zealous fans annoy me even more.

I've discussed his drives with you before though, Brad, and I don't have any problem admitting that he's a great driver.

Mark Webber says:

I think I wasn't supposed to be in the hunt. At all. So it's been maybe quite inconvenient, but I've enjoyed every bit of it.

Christian Horner says:

Red Bull team "will be hurt" if Webber believes Vettel gets favoured treatment. Says Helmut Marko does not interfere.

Sebastien Vettel says:

If Mark needs help, he should take the medical car.

What a fantastic team Red Bull are.

cant wait for this weekends race , there will be no love lost between Webber and Vettel and has we have seen before they could take each other out trying to get the upper hand over each other.
Qualifying could be interesting there is heavy rain forecast for Saturday.

Forza Alonso! He needs to keep his head and stay out of shit this weekend. The RBs will trip over each other I suspect.

I'll have both on with it being a 3pm kick of not on tv listen to it on radio and have BBC1 on aswell.
