McLaren's Lewis Hamilton: "It's so slippery out there - so many rivers. When it aquaplanes, the car just lifts for a few seconds and right now it doesn't look like there's going to be any qualifying. The crash yesterday did not help me. You need as many laps as you can get here and I have done about 15 laps this weekend but we have been driving all year so we should be OK."
0556:NEWS UPDATE: Qualifying delayed by 30 minutes. There will be another update at 0620 BST.
Of course the opportunity to qualify on Sunday remains, so don't think the start position based on car number is that likely.
EDIT: maybe not....
delayed for now. But looks like it will be postponed to Sunday.
What if the rain continues like this tomorrow?
Confirmed postponed until tomorrow. That means a seriously early wake up call to watch it!

Cry me a river You lads finally get a taste of what its like to have to get up to watch United or stay up to watch the F1 and even then, its not even a work day in the morning.
I'd suggest not even bothering to go to sleep. Bathurst is streaming on Justin tv and Veetle so just watch that. Starts at 11:30pm GMT
Best touring car race in the world.
Hamilton 5-place grid drop for a gearbox change.
Come on Alonso
Take the title. Hopefully Hamilton suffers again with his penalty. Qualifying before the race tomorrow. Should be fun.
