The F1 Thread 2010 Season

Red Bull should sack Webber for acting like a twat inspite of winning the race. Being the test driver for a team or driving a shite car would bring him back down to earth.

Alonso deserved the penalty. I don't think even he would deny it.

Webber has every right to be pissed Vettel was only leading by a few points with 9 races to go 25 points for a win his lead was nothing. If someone took of a part of my car put it on another to help them I would be pissed.

Except for acting like a twat. Horner made the decision to give the new wing to the driver ahead in the Championship. If it happened next race, Webber would have gotten it. He is acting like a spoilt twat and damaging team morale.

I'm not so sure he would have though. Horner has no choice but go with this for the rest of the season. He should be concentrating on why the cars are so unrealible because frankly thats the only thing holding the team back from completely dominating this season.

Too many inner team fecks ups so far this year for Red Bull and Horners decisions are simply making the matter worse.

"Team Morale" was destroyed when Vettel crashed into Webber a few races back.

All I would say is that I wonder how many of these decisions are Horner's and how many are coming from above him

Dietrich Mateschitz makes the decisions with Dr. Helmut Marko as his advisor I would imagine, Vettel is the golden boy much like Hamilton was at McLaren but at the moment Webber is very much his equal and therefore demands equal treatment.

Webber is the number 2 driver, they will never admit it but he is and by matching and beating Vettel he causes an issue, It wouldn't surprise me if Webber/Red Bull look for a way out of that new contract and they sign a clear number 2 for next season just like McLaren did in 2008.

Wouldn't surprise me if Red Bull went for Algersuari to move Webber on, he'd then probably go to Renault

Just some more on the Alonso-Kubica incident from Charlie Whiting

"We told Ferrari three times that in my opinion they should give the position back to Kubica," Whiting was quoted as saying by Autosprint magazine.

"And we told them that immediately, right after the overtaking manoeuvre. On the radio, I suggested to them that if they exchange position again, there would be no need for the stewards to intervene.

"But they didn't do that and on the third communication they said that Kubica was by then too far back to let him regain the position.

"It's not true at all that the stewards took too long to decide. For us the facts were clear immediately: Alonso had gained an advantage by cutting the track."

Just another typical qualifying session for Red Bull.

Thankfully for those calling Webber number 2, qualifying means jack shit if you cant do anything in the race. Vettel is one of those chokers on the stage who seems to get himself into all kinds of bother in the race.

I quite fancy Alonso to win tomorrow, the Ferrari is looking good & if he can get ahead of Vettel into turn one I think he's laughing.

Hopefully be a good race tomorrow, and that either Massa gets overtaken or can show very good pace, as then we'll have the six of them flying around pretty close to eachother as the McLarens seem to have excellent race pace

How on earth have you come to that conclusion? Vettel has had a lot of car problems but I can't remember him 'choking' at all.

His decision making and maturity is what makes him choke, great on the qualifying because all he has to do is drive the thing as fast as he can with no real interruptions.

I'd hardly agree that a racing incident is a sign of him being a choke artist.

It wasn't a racing incident though, he seems to have an attitude that the grid owes him one & it reflects in his driving style. Silverstone last week, a bit unfortunate with the puncture, but straight after the pitstop he wasn't interested, even with one of the fastest cars on the grid he wasn't pulling in that performance.

He's only won 2 races this year & could of had, so much more.

It was a racing incident, they collided during an overtaking manoeuvre, that could happen to anyone.

Yes he could have had so much more, hardly his fault his car has the reliability of a fiat punto though is it?

Racing incident? Bullshit. He tried to put his car down a gap that wasn't there & wouldn't back off.

You can only blame the car for so much.

Of course it was a bloody racing incident!!

Why are BBC showing this Rosberg thing on a loop?!
