The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

Leipzig will be very pleased by their B Team. Schlager and Lainer probably a lock to go there. Berisha and Hwang might get an opportunity elsewhere, too.

When a club picked Sahin/Schmelzer over you and you get to train Bayern Munich instead. What an embarrassment for Dortmund. Becomes more and more obvious it was all Klopp, Tuchel and the scout.
Is it confirmed that arrogant bastard is going to Bayern?

Milan and Dortmund both look to be going out in the round of 16. Arsenal suddenly look like the second favourites to win the EL.

Same thing happened last year. The 'best' teams got knocked out early.

Milan sitting extraordinarily deep here considering they're the ones chasing the game. Fancy another Arsenal goal before them scoring, that poor.

Atletico are in the same position we were. They should win this, no excuses.

Seems that way. Not official, but there seems to be no other candidate at the moment.

That's just not true. Nagelsmann, Streich, Kovac, there's a lot of names going around and he absolutely isn't the front runner in any way we know off. The fact we didn't go for him right away instead of getting Heynckes as interim shows first and foremost that he is far from nailed for the job.

Quite happy watching this.

Amount of praise Gattuso was getting on here was cringeworthy. He's doing o.k, nothing more than that.

Atletico Madrid still clear favourites for this competition.

Could Arsenal really beat them over two legs? One off final would be very hard for them aswell.

Blimey Dortmund losing to Salzburg, just seen that score.

Guess we're going to have to accept the glory days for them are over now unless they start appointing proper managers again.

I think winning a final would be easier, that's just one game. On the other hand I can easily see us playing well in the first leg only to bottle the second

L.Alberto on the bench for Lazio. Disappointing on my end - was looking forward to watching him tonight.

Atletico Madrid's defence is a total rock. You also add Costa to the mix who of course regularly scored v Arsenal in the premier league.

Clear favourites for me.

Very, very strange to see this Milan side, having witnessed the great teams of the late 80s. Who would be candidates for a transfer to a top European side? Donnarumma, maybe. Otherwise, they're feckin shite. Lower Premier League or Championship quality.

This Milan side is horrible, Kessie looks an awful signing has he completed a pass tonight.

I quite like Bonaventura. Suso has apparently been playing well after not breaking through at Liverpool. Bonucci has been excellent since xmas and Kessie was great at Atalanta.

Rest is average though.

Why is there so much injury time in this game, 4 minutes first half, 5 minutes now for the second.

(Annoyed as I had 30 quid on 6-1 shot score would stay at 1-0!)

Looking forward to Wenger's self-satisfied smirk in the post match presser. "I told you I am the right man for this job..."

You go, Arsene.
