The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

What do we think of AC Milan coming back?

Milan are hopeless. They aren't offering anything in attack to suggest they can comeback even from 2-0 down.

All those people defending Milan’s recent form and chances looking daft now, honestly last time I saw them play they let Benevento get their first ever point and got spanked to Chevio 3-0, and that was before Xmas, still look the same here.

Milan are terrible.

What are they good at? No pace, cant pass and have no intensity in their game. Its a very very average side.

Gattuso is going to tear them to shreds. Too many times they were looking at the linesman hoping for the offside. I expect them to come out fast in the 2nd half, but they may leave themselves too open.

Well, Gattuso's not Allegri, is he? He can sweat all he wants…

Milan have been given free reign of Arsenal's right side, and have done nothing other than lose the ball there. Have they put in a decent cross yet?

They're average. Without any of the heart or intensity that can take an average team to the next level. Their defence is poor flanked by two horrendous full backs, no presence in midfield and poor, and slow options up top. Any decent team should spank them.

Relax, they will have Fabio Borini on soon to change the game.

I said last night that Serie A was crap these days and was laughed at by a few in here.

This Milan side are unbeaten in 11 games aren't they? Arsenal the better side.

Not to mention, Juventus only conceded a goal since November until they met Spurs and conceded 3 goals. I think Serie A bottom team is shocking poorly.

Yes Milan have been poor in this first half but i'm really not confident yet.
We can still Tottenham this up...

And Roma won a group ahead of Chelsea and Atletico. It happens. People should stop acting like league and ko games are the same or that a team can't have an off day. We beat teams like Spurs and Chelsea and then looked like the worst team in the world against Huddersfield.

1-0 Salzburg

Nothing illustrates Milan's demise more than them facing defeat at the San Siro to the hands of the most pitifully meek Arsenal team.

The league has been crap for years with the exception of Juve. Napoli get a nice press but always flop horribly in Europe.

Just looking at the knockout games, looks a tough competition to win this year, plenty of potential challengers. i think Mou got a head start on this competition last year with the addition of the CL spot. The difference in quality of the ties at this stage were night and day. Don't think Arsenal are going to save their season by winning this with Atletico/Borussia/Bilbao and a very few other potential tricky ties.

Typical Wenger, he'll do just about enough to stay in the job. You really have to feel for the fans.

AC Milan have been pretty dreadful, thought they'd improved lately too.

Yeah, obviously you can reach better conclusions when you're discussing a larger sample of games but extrapolating conclusions from one or two games is fairly daft and tends to be the approach of those with an inherent underlying agenda.

Milan again giving the ball away too easily there.

When a club picked Sahin/Schmelzer over you and you get to train Bayern Munich instead. What an embarrassment for Dortmund. Becomes more and more obvious it was all Klopp, Tuchel and the scout.
