The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

So how many games would Everton have to play to get to the Europa League final?

It felt like a right old slog for us last season.

Lithuanian football is doing well in the Europa League.
No doubt. Question is whether we can finally get over the line and proceed to the group stages first time in Lithuanian history. I gave up on that long time ago now and yet they're pumping me with false hopes!

Suduva are basically through. Trakai risk.

Everton haven't woke up yet, Klaassen's done well but that's about it.

Everton really making hard work of this. Talkshite earlier today were comparing Ruzomberok to a League 2 side and expecting a ruck of goals from Everton.

Everton are still dire then.

All that spending looked great on paper. Another season of mediocrity beckons. After the godlike status Schneiderlin had on here, seems like he's found his level.

My crash and burn wish list for this season: Everton, Spurs, City, Liverpool. I did have West Ham in there till Chicharito signed for them.

Well we could have told them all Schneiderlin and Rooney were not going to elevate them to top 4 status!

Never heard of Sandro and Klaasen was anonymous in the Europa League Final. Pickford and Keane are talented but have to step up now its a different kettle of fish to Burnley and Sunderland

Not sure it even looks good on paper tbh

Agree. I hate both Everton and Liverpool. It's the scouse.

Arka Gdynia win 3-2 against Midgetland. Quite an achievement given they were nearly relegated from Polish Ekstraklasa last season (they're the Polish cup winners, hence EL).

New wins for Bordeaux, Panathinaikos, Red Star, Aberdeen, Dinamo Zagreb and Marseille, while Gent and Altach draw.

For all the hoo haa around Everton's transfer dealings, without Lukaku and Barkley they really will lack something this season, they'll do well to match last seasons finishing position.
