The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

Arsenal lost badly by not selling Sanchez in summer. He looks disinterested by what the team is doing and even the team itself don't look like bothering to pass to him. He lost the club and club lost him and will leave for free. Arsenal should have sold him for any fee.

If Cologne score a second goal they'll have a big chance but I find it difficult they'll go 45 minutes without conceding and if they concede they'll collapse. Still can see it 3-1 win to Arsenal.

Btw each time I watch Walcott I become sure he's finished.

As I predicted.

TV director celebrating the Cologne fans who broke into the game :nono:

It really does crack me up every time I just think about how all the Prem's top teams are in the CL and Arse are stuck in the EL. Sorry to the Arsenal fans

Kolasinac looks like exactly what we need down that left hand side. Oh well. Arsenal players are easily acquirable, ey?

Yea except you need to give him 4 years until he becomes dissulusioned with the club and realises Wenger sold him porky pies prior to him signing. At which point he conveniently finds he has 12 months left on his contract.

Beyond belief the police marched them all to the ground.

What did they think they were going to do?

Look around the shop?

It's the club's fault. They are responsible for what goes on inside the ground. Grouping the away fans together outside prevents disorder and other members of the public being disrupted.

 at least you had the balls to hold on to Sanchez this season. Without him I could see Arsenal easily finishing 6/7th again.

Unbelievable that Hoffenheim lost at home vs Braga, this is one of the worst Braga teams I can remember since 2010 at least, not to mention for all the hype over Naggelsman being beaten by Abel is not a great achievement tbh.

Vitoria Guimaraes has so many serious individual limitations that the only thing they must be proud now is that they didn't lost vs RB Salzburg, and also that they do have great support, better atmosphere than at Benfica where high ticket prices = less people on the stadium, who could believe that.

Final note for young Andre Silva, I think he is being cleverly managed by Montella, playing him on easier matches to gain confidence, but now AC Milan needs to gain consistency in Serie A and not repeat the performance vs Lazio.

Also, why on Earth it never stops to amaze me Ronald Koeman looks the same guy who coached Benfica with the same "performances", only difference is it was in 2006, tbh he did managed to put Benfica playing on the quarte finals of the Champions League.

Honorable mention to Atalanta, not only they are well managed, also a club who has a long history on the development of young italian players.

Kolasinac looked a strong player for them and a good signing. He was really the only one driving them on. Hate to say it but wilshere also made a difference when he came on. Sanchez just didn't look like he knew whether he is in or out.

Guimaraes was the first team to play in Europe with no Portuguese and European players, not the first time we have Portuguese teams with no Portuguese players I remember Farense playing with 11 Brazilians in the Portuguese league.

St Andrews takes guts. Those lot are animals.

Awful night too. Midweek in freezing January. And fog so bad on the motorway back, that it felt longer than my drive to OT (170miles), rather than 100 or so to Birmingham!

Can't wait for Lyon vs Atalanta tomorrow. They both have two of my favourite players in the world in Nabil Fekir and Alejandro Gomez
