Any idea how the inaguaration for Biden will work? Will it be a virtual one, or done indoors (similar to Reagan's one in 1985)
Tiny crowd, absolutely tiny compared to the highest ever in 2017.

Actually, the 2017 inauguration had HUGE numbers. I have the pictures to prove itTiny crowd, absolutely tiny compared to the highest ever in 2017.

Brilliant speech
Brilliant speech. Biden has crushed it and said what needed to be said.
Garland sounds really emotional. It's been a long ride for him.
I missed it. Is there a tweet yet?
Hoping it's not geo locked:I missed it. Is there a tweet yet?

Excellent speech.
Yeah I'm not sure why it was tweeted like that.what a weirdly written Tweet. It made no sense until I read the article to figure out that someone else said that, not Mayor Walsh (as his reason for vetoing) as the Tweet seems to imply.
Manchin is fiscally conservative so this doesn’t surprise me at all. He is also quite principled so don’t know what Chuck can do to convince him to change his mind.
PS: just read the entire article. He is not supposed against the idea, just doesn’t think that it should be the first priority (which according to him should be the vaccination). Probably will be okay with it, if Dems send some money to West Virginia in some project. Manchin has always been a ‘West Virginia-first’ senator
He is quite against the big debt the US and speaks repeatedly against it.He's also the senator of a poor state populated with over a million constituents who could use the money to make ends meet. Therefore I can't imagine he would be against it in the end.
true, but a majority of those constituents are the Trumpiest of the Trumpers and would see denying the checks, if Biden is trying to get them for them, as owning the libs. That is FAR more important than food or rent. He's also the senator of a poor state populated with over a million constituents who could use the money to make ends meet. Stimulus checks are broadly popular for voters of both parties
Manchin says he will "absolutely not" support $2,000 stimulus checks as first priority

The BBC reports:
"In lieu of a traditional inaugural ball, Biden plans to hold a celebrity TV special on the night that he officially becomes president, according to the latest from Politico.
The 90-minute programme is to be hosted by actor Tom Hanks and will feature singers Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake and Jon Bon Jovi.
The primetime event will be shown on all US networks besides Fox (my emphasis) ..."
Iced EarthI suppose if they are going to do something this is better than rich ass people having a fancy ball.
As an exercise, who the hell would headline the Trump version of this? Kid Rock, Those White Supremacists kids, and Lil Wayne?
