People will complain about one subject and another subject but ultimately people die most of the time from straight up shootings in America.
Look at UK - racism, religious views or whatever they want to complain about but the actual shooting (not murder) is much rarer to find.
To be fair it’s because we were initially scared shitless of the British and a bunch of old geezers in the 18th century decided it was second only to free speech as far as our country’s values went.
We’ve backed ourselves into a corner at this point. There’s no way to remove them all, so the only hope is managing how deadly a weapon the average citizen can acquire and what it takes for them to do so.
It should also be pointed out that the 2A nutjobs who swarmed the Capitol to ‘overthrow a tyrannical government’ (in their eyes) did so without guns - which is their entire reason for needing them in the first place, supposedly.
There are simply too many guns now. I think the math says there is one gun per citizen. Plus our politicians survive off being divisive on each and every issue, so I don't think any politician can change anything.
Yeah man, I am consider myself a liberal, and I recently bought a pistol due to the crime rising in my little city. There have been multiple busts on 'ghost' guns which brings a whole another issue.
Capitol situation was so unique. If the cops used any type of force, who knows what type of weaponry those crazies would have whipped out. They had bombs setup as well.

It's difficult even listening to Greenwald on topics you agree with him.
Been a big fan of his but he seems to have gone mad.
I really like his book about his experience with Snowden but don't know much of his other work.
Did some great work exposing the corruption in Operation Car Wash in Brazil and his reporting on the intelligence services is generally top-notch but recently he's constantly wading into culture war stuff and seemingly just trying to troll centrist liberals all the time.
The ‘sexual addiction’ confession may have taken a dent when looking at the ages of many of the deceased Asian females, their ages were into the 60s & higher. Not saying that there’s not sexual attraction to much older females out there, but the ‘temptation’ & the ‘overt sexuality of the locations & the workers’ defense may have sprung a major leak.

-it is harder to prove motive against aa. unlike anti-black, anti-semetic hate crimes where the motive and the evidence are more clear cut.
-most hate crimes against aa are also against the elderly. who often face a language barrier, and just don't want to deal with leo
-fear that such instances can be weaponized to target other minority communities.
What is the solution?
-change the laws to make it easier for prosecutors to charge such incidents
-NY state has a bill pending that should address this problem
-but is more funding for leo the solution?
-anti-racism classes as an alternative to prison
-the rhetoric that more should be done to protect aa can end up creating more divides between black, latino, and asian communities.
5 days ago in San Fransisco. The dickhead on the stretcher attacked a 75 year old Asian man and the 83 year old Asian woman in this video. The Asian man broke his neck in several places.
Nothing to see here. Don’t know what the fuss is about. Obviously not a hate crime, simply a crime against the elderly. Probably a GGILF addiction.
Real question is why isn’t the attacker in cuffs while on the stretcher? And did the old lady beat him up so bad that one of his socks flew off?!?
Not to defend the police too much on this one since I have no idea why she is not being attended to, but I saw a pic from a different angle and he was cuffed to the stretcher.
