The Arsenal game (September 4th)

Hope we stop their winning streak like we stopped their 49 match unbeatable run. I still remember how loud some of my Arsenal mates at that time, time to shut them up now as well

Make it sweeter if it's a dodgy pen decision too.
Yeah their insurable cnuts...can't wait to smash them

Much harder though with VAR
Hope to have another clean sheet playing counter attack for now until the players are able to play full ETH ball. It will be tight 1-0 or 2-0 win for us.

Dont think you will be able to counter attack at home. Plus surrendering possession is not a good idea. We are averaging 2.6 goals a game and to be honest it should be more.

Were not Southampton or Leicester. We will get our win backs forward and press high up the pitch including pressing De Gea. You will need to play some football to win this match.

We out pressed and out played Liverpool for good amount of the game and we even outran them. No reason why we can't do that to your side who are no way near the Liverpool side.

I feel you guys are in for a surprise. It should be a fun game but underestimate United at your own peril.

If u pressed high it will play into our hands. ETH wants the team to bypass the press as they are not used to playing out from the back yet.

We need to surrender the possession in certain part of the field to allow for quick attack in transition. We are not creative enough to create chances from control possession play. Hopefully, Antony can change that.

The approach will be pretty similar like we played Liverpool. And like it or not, Arsenal is an inferior team compared to Liverpool. Hence, my confidence that if we played to our strength we can beat Arsenal at home.

You will shit yourselves at OT like you do every fecking year mate. State of it.

Quietly confident to get the job done again at home. Just can't defend after scoring a goal. Also can we start with Casemiro and Ronaldo for Eriksen and Elanga.

Im not underestimating United. I feel the game will be really tough, although it will be tough for both teams.

Something is off with Liverpool, they are not the same team they were last year. Liverpool also played with Henderson, Milner and Elliot in midfield - a grifter midfield more than a technique based one. Odegaard, Xhaka and Zinchenko midfield will be a lot more technical and will turn the ball over less than the amount of times Liverpool did

I guess we will have to wait and see. Yes, Liverpool is not in top form but we have new additions of Casemiro and Antony for Arsenal game which will make a very big different.

I definitely prefer Casemiro, Antony, Bruno and Eriksen over Odegaard, Xhaka and Zinchenko.

Liverpool will come good eventually so the likes of you and us need to pick up as many points as we can.

Well there's 4 players to 3.

As for Antony. He wouldn't get in our front three

Probably not the best thing to say when we are playing you next, and Antony may well start.

Please dont talk like the dippers, i like Arsenal way more than them cnuts.

I'd take a draw. We are in the nascent stages of ETHs time here and a work in long progress. We don't have goals in this team right now.

We go for it! At home and with new confidence, I think we can do really well. A draw is the minimum I expect.

Martinelli doesn't start ahead of Antony for Brazil does he? Doesn't seem that outlandish a claim, probably not much in it.

I don’t see anything controversial about saying Antony over Martinelli. But likewise I don’t see anything controversial saying the opposite. I think the margins are fine, and Antony will need time to adjust. Either way if Antony, Sancho and Rashford is our front three for the next game, I think that is potentially an excellent trio.

Midfield of Bruno, Eriksen, Casemiro would be terrific too. Loving the back four right now.

Hopefully everyone is ready to go for the next game. Lots of tired legs right now.

Arsenal have had a pretty Leisurely and friendly start to the season. Will be a good test for them. They are playing well and this game could go either way. I’d love a win but I am mostly concerned with the performance and effort. Don’t expect it to be plain sailing results wise, but seeing the massive effort of the last three games and the good football slowly emerging, is really encouraging. Varane, Martinez, Fernandes and Sancho have all been superb so far.

I think Arsenal fans are getting way ahead of themselves right now. Overrating some of their players and generally the strength of their team. There’s no denying they’ve started the season well, but a bump down to earth is inevitably coming. Whether it’s against us or not, I don’t know. Hope so!

Imo this would be a pretty dull draw. Both are having good form and have quality players so no side would be delusional enough to plan to go all out from the start. And both sides definitely don't want to lose. Aside from the rivalry it'd also destroy the current confidence and good form. A careful and slow approach from both sides imo.

Which one of Saka, Martinelli or Jesus would Antony replace?
Saka. No brainer there.

Yes it is a projection. This is what you get hanging out in enemy territory. Disagreement on the pedestals you place your players on.

Those years when Arsenal were pushovers and we'd pump them have me conditioned to still always be confident when we play them, I reckon we end their winning run on Sunday!

Time for a reality check for our favourite arch enemy.

Never change arsenal men.

Defo my favourite fans online, especially when they win a few, but even when they don't their confidence and arrogance never waivers.

We are doomed the mighty arsenal are going to press us high up the pitch and not concede the ball once because or their superior technical players compared to what Liverpool had.

I am in a WhatsApp group with two Arsenal fans and honestly if I hadn't lived with them both a decade ago I would have had no idea until this season

Amazing what a few wins against teams who'll be battling relegation can do! That said, I have always liked Arteta and you can see from my post History that I have defended him and suggested he will improve them and get them back challenging at the top-end of the table.

The issue they still have, in my opinion, is whilst they are much more organised, they still lack a bit of quality. There players are mainly 'solid/good' players who seems a decent bunch of professionals and who are well-coached...but if you're talking about real, genuine class and quality, it's few and far between...maybe Saka and Martinelli being two exceptions.

From our perspective, I think we need to get Rashford out of the side ASAP. I'd definitely bring in Antony and perhaps even Martial at CF so that we line-up Sancho - Martial - Antony.

I'm torn on what to do in midfield, obviously keen to get a player of Casemiro's quality into the team but McTominay has been one of our best players this last two weeks.

Fun fact: I already replaced Saka with Antony in my fantasy team.

Make a combined 11, they will have at best one player from ManUtd side as some token gesture
I'd take Varane, Casemiro over our options right now. Too early to judge Malacia or Anthony but they would be next. Very comfortable with the rest being Arsenal players not that they're necessarily better but just fit us more.
