:lol: Monfils is just a ridiculous player. He has so much potential but often does nothing with it. Looks like this tournament is one of the few where he really does some damage. Murray/Djokovic should be interesting. Think i'll predict Novak in 4. Murray just doesn't look the same player this season, which is a big shame.
 
Man, loving Murray's aggressiveness in looking for the forehand winners. I haven't seen someone put Djokovic on the back foot as effectively as this.
 
Despite the defeat, Murray will realize that that's the way to attack with the drive. He needs to be this aggressive against the top players.

too bad he runned out of fuel today...

There's like a shit load of them on the tour. Fernando Gonzalez looked like a world beater whenever I watch but achieved feck all as a pro.
 
another easy victory for Cilic and another 3-0 win against Berdych. it's actually incredible how much did he improve under Ivanisevic. I don't think he'll bother Federer that much, but if Monfils goes through, I'd then have Cilic as a favourite in that match.

as for Djokovic, I don't think he's going to have any problems beating Nishikori who is probably tired after 10 sets in his last two matches.
 
and I must say, I miss Del Potro, Nadal and Soderling, especially in this time of year. it's such a shame they struggle so much with injuries.

Unbelievable choking from Monfils. Wasted 2 Match points at 5-4, then threw in two double faults in a row to get broken and now down a break in the fifth. Gasquet would be proud of him today.
 
The 4th was the ultimate choke. Had the 2 MPs, went long. Then to serve two doubles in a row to get broken at 5-5 is embarrassing. This is what separates the greats from the perennial under achievers.
 
Roger really had the mental fortitude to get himself out of jail there. 2 match points for Monfils and Fed comes with those awesome serves. And he had the balls to serve and volley on his second serve there. Absolutely brilliant, 2014 has changed the man!
 
I put a cheeky bet on Cillic. Am I crazy?

Wouldn't be surprised if he beats Fed in the semi finals.

I am. He's been excellent so far. Refreshing to see an attacking player.

I thought djokovic would run away with it after dominating the second but he's done well to raise his level. Pretty even now.
 
im watching, but because Nishikori lost the second set, i can't see him winning this now.

His legs are starting to faint (over 8 hours between his last 2 match)... Hopefully he can win this set.

cmon break him now!!
 
yes! now he has to be very clever with this 4th set.

Let it go if it starts badly and focused on the 5th.

Or go all out and try to win it now...

First time watching Nishikori and enjoying the match!

Seems like an attacking player.
 
Well well well. Djokovic has a stinking start to the tie breaker.
 
he is going to win it, isn't he. it is almost as if Djokovic isn't the great player he is today
 
Cannot count Djokovic out, even at this stage. He's come back from worse than this, but as we know he doesn't like the heat.
 
Haven't been watching at all... just switched on. Is Djokovic not at his best or is this lad just having a stormer?
