Missed that, I was watching the F1. Who took a timeout? Looks like Novak really has a stranglehold on this set.
Djokovic slipped, demanded the physio, got the break then had his leg checked out. Mind games as usual. Seemed to work
I'd expect Novak to take this in four from here.
I do think that if Federer loses this set, he simply has to win the third. There's no way he'll take Djokovic in five.
Three fantastic serves from Novak there to dig out of break point and win the set!
The worry is now he'll steamroll the 3rd and 4th. Hopefully it remains competitive.

Federer's forehand is not a threat at all today. Can't see him win this, sadly. feck you, time! Why'd you have to make him so old?

Its obviously his strategy and he's been very good at it throughout his career. The trouble today is his approach shots haven't been deep enough, which has given Djokovic enough time to set up and prepare his returns.

It is over IMO. I don't think that Federer in this age will be able to win the next two sets.
Roger's serve was great in the third set, but he can't win points against Djokovic today. No drive in his forehand and if he does go for it, he misses more often than not. Completely idiotic net charges and Djokovic won't miss.

Only because Novak wasn't arsed pressuring his serve for the majority of the third set. He just waited out, planning to turn the screw right at the end... and it worked. He almost broke him in the last service game, instead he crushed him in the tiebreaker.
He's not really thrown it away, Djokovic has been playing better all match.
Djokovic was very strong today, but not stronger than usual. Federer just can't strike the ball the way he used to. So many dumb and easy mistakes.
