I don't know what you mean by crossmatching.... if the odds shift, they shift, there's money to be made depending on whether you backed or layed the outcome first in the right way.
Basicly on Betfair now you can get Medvedev 3.2. If it wasn't cross-matched you would still get 3,2 even if Djoko is out. But because of the cross-matching the void bets about Djoko would influence the bets made for Medvedev, so if Djoko is out, those bets that were made at 3,2 would be brought down to closer to 2,5. This would only happen on Betfair market, not with normal betting sites. I could be wrong, but that's how I understand it from their rules.

I don't think that's the case reading that - that's allowing them to use the whole market to find a match for your requested bet - the odds as they are now reflect that his status in the tournament is up in the air, that's the gamble, otherwise we'd still be at starting odds and Novak would be 2.40ish still. Plus he'd get a direct replacement so they can't apply a rule 4 kind of deduction. (When a horse doesn't run - all bets get reduced for instance as wouldn't be replaced so it's mathematically easier)

I wouldn't dabble in bet trading if you're not sure, even if you feel you're on to something here.

That's why I am finding info still. There were plenty of misspricings on US election due to betfair rules for instance. I am winning bettor so you don't need to worry about me.

I want him to be deported and #scottyfrommarketing says it was due to Djokovic being a liar, followed by the irony collapsing into a black hole that sucks the entire Liberal and National party's over the event horizon.

At this stage they are either letting him stay or they are making sure - really sure - their case to fling him out is absolutely legally watertight.

I think he’s staying but the cynical side of me is thinking they’re trying to run down the clock so it’s more difficult for him to oppose it legally before the tournament starts.

Isn't this something that can't be appealed?
You can usually challenge any decision, its just that the mode and forum of challenge may differ. Don't see why that may not be case under Australian legal system. 'Appeal' might just be used as a layman term to describe any challenge to the decision of cancellation of visa.

I assume it’ll be a judicial review.

What are they actually deciding on??

Is it just a decision on the un truths in Novak’s documents??

if so why in gods name is it taking this long? Either accept his apology for the misinformation or kick him out for not being truthful.

why has this taken a million days? Have they got people arguing his case? Like the Ozzie Open organisers etc??

People can think what they want of Novak and his lies but Australia have handled this appallingly embarrassingly so.

I suspect the delay is precisely this. Reading between the lines it seems they want to get him out but they don't want to be embarrassed again so they want to make sure whenever they announce a decision that it is final, watertight and the line is drawn.

It is either that, or he is staying.

I think that they want to be sure their case is airtight and there is no blowback on them. Also, it was reported that Novak's legal team was sending over a lot of documentation till yesterday so I guess going through that is also taking time.

So I see the draw was made. Assuming Djokovic stays I think Zverev followed by Nadal have the toughest draws from the big names. Medevedev will certainly be the happiest and it would be disappointing if he didn't make the final.

I do think the depth of the ladies draw does look fascinating some potential crackers before the QFs too.

R1: Raducanu - Stephens

R3:
Raducanu/Stephens - Halep
Gauff - Kenin
Azarenka - Svitolina

R4:
Osaka - Barty

It’s a dog of a draw for Raducanu. Stephens, on her increasingly-rare day, could give her a good going over.
Stephens just got married (to Jozy Altidore interestingly enough) and has only just arrived in Australia. That's either Stephens undercooked or feeling high on life, so could go either way of the extremes.

It would strange to kick him out now that Australia are clocking almost 200k daily covid cases. Let us just watch tennis with best players competing.
