We'll have a new mens grand slam winner here. Not sure who I have as the favorite, difficult one to call.
Berrettini, Cilic, Kyrgios and Ruud the ones who have made a final before.
Cilic has won it already.

Feel exactly the same way. It's been a great year for Rafa, better than we could have expected, particularly given the foot and abdominal issues have made it a stop start year all the way through.Even as a Rafa fan can't help but feel really happy for Tiafoe.
Same for me as a die hard fan! He really deserved this win and happy for himEven as a Rafa fan can't help but feel really happy for Tiafoe.
Completely forgot about 2014!Cilic has won it already.
Was a wonderful chance but not at a single point all week have you felt he'd be able to even get to the final given his level. As for Tiafoe, I'd be surprised to see him go far here so I think it's going to be Carlos/Sinner or Berretini/Nick. Hoping its Carlos from this lot.Gutted for Nadal here, great chance to win a slam but Nadal wasn't good all tournament and deserved to lose here. Really happy for Tiafoe though, think he's a great guy and I'll be rooting for him in the rest of the tournament. Probably the player I'd have been happiest for Nadal to lose to.
Berretini is a tough one but I feel Carlos is the mentally stronger one who could beat Nick. Don't quite see the others doing it so I'm hoping Carlos makes it.Berrettini as a potential SF for Kyrgios is a tough ask. He's not beat a top 10 player at a slam before but I'd fancy him against Ruud. In the past couple of years I think Berrettini has only lost to Djokovic and Nadal.
Tough ask for Tiafoe and would be a shock win but he can definitely beat Rublev and make the SF.Was a wonderful chance but not at a single point all week have you felt he'd be able to even get to the final given his level. He's got a personal grudge against Nick so he'd be most fired up but I don't see him beating Berretini at all. I still feel Nick will make the final and the only one who can beat him is Carlos.Nothing against King Kyrg but he is still far from winning this. Sinner, Alcaraz, Cilic, Berrettini all can beat him. Even Karen might bring a match tomorrow against him. Ruud is not a player to disrespect either. Only favorites used to be big3, everyone else can lose to anyone.

A lot of these players who shock Nadal, don't ever follow it up with a win the next match and I think it'll be similar here. Besides, Tiafoe wasn't even playing brilliant tennis like players often do when they beat Rafa. I just cannot see him make a final here or win it.Tough ask for Tiafoe and would be a shock win but he can definitely beat Rublev and make the SF.
I would give Tiafoe a decent chance in a SF vs Cilic, Sinner, or Ivashka. Think he'd then need Ruud or Khachanov in the final, all of which is unlikely.
Agreed if Nick makes the final. Tough few matches to get through first. Genuinely wonder if Kyrgios would retire if he won it too, maybe playing Australian swing as he's mentioned that he 's not sure he would have much motivation now if he won WimbledonHe's got a personal grudge against Nick so he'd be most fired up but I don't see him beating Berretini at all. I'd have Rublev as favorite but it's a tight one and like you say, always difficult to back up a huge win.A lot of these players who shock Nadal, don't ever follow it up with a win the next match and I think it'll be similar here. Yup, definitely see Rublev beating that one.I'd have Rublev as favorite but it's a tight one and like you say, always difficult to back up a huge win.
Nick looked a bit exhausted during the pre USO Slams after his deep runs on the grass earlier. I think he's better rested now and will be more dangerous tbh. Berretini ofcourse is a tough one but I see him winning that.I disagree. Nick is all right, but couldn't make an impact at Masters in Canada and Cincy. He has high peak but his game is volatile. I think Sinner will be the surprise guy here. Closest to beat Novak at Wimbledon and grass is not even his favorite surface. Alcaraz can't beat Sinner.
I think he talks a lot of nonsense and I just can't see him retiring even if he wins the USO.Agreed if Nick makes the final. Tough few matches to get through first. I don't think today's result changes much honestly. Rafa was unlikely to get past Carlos anyway so we've got to hinge all our hopes on Berretini/Sinner/Ruud/Carlos now.“Hello god, it’s me, Margaret…”
…please don’t let this lead to Kyrgios winning the tournament.
This is true.I don't think today's result changes much honestly. Rafa was unlikely to get past Carlos anyway so we've got to hinge all our hopes on Berretini/Sinner/Ruud/Carlos now.
Tiafoe!!!!!!!
Didn’t realize he was from Maryland! You love to see it!I am so excited for him (especially as someone from Maryland). Normally we just have great swimmers, great to see more tennis players come through.
Sinner down a break too. Both star boys might go out.Sinner in a 5th set vs Ivashka while Carlos is a set up on Cilic but down a break in the second.
His defense reminds me of a young Rafa with his ability to chase down everything and put it back on court. Today, second set onwards, he's even returning ultra deep like Rafa. And another
