If Bat Agut continues like this we'll be seeing Roger and Rafa very soon...
 
problem for player like Agut is that he's basically "just" D. Ferrer - lite. no serve, basically no free points and almost every service game is going to be struggle since Djoko is the best returner in the game. at least Isner and Querrey can do something better than him regardless of how good is he playing, while Agut simply can't hurt him atm. it's still not over, but I'd be surprised if second and third set are any different than the first.
 
This doesn't feel like a semi final.... too easy for Novak.
 
Djokovic came in to this in his extremely solid and focused mode. Nadal on clay aside, beating this Djokovic outside of clay is the toughest job in tennis.

I would have loved to see Djock v. Nadal in clay this year. It is sad Djock never managed to bring his A game to French open.

He let the conditions affect him way too much vs Thiem. We'd have gotten the Nadal Djokovic final otherwise.
 
Djokovic now struggling a bit for some reason, lost all bar 2 points since his first service game in this set.
 
Much more competitive now. Hope Agut can win this set and make it a good match.
 
2 breakpoints to make it 1-4 yet he fecks it up, that'll come back to haunt him.

RBA had a great chance there. This year has shown you can't write off his chance vs Novak. Both matches he was a set down before coming back to win.

Djokovic with almost 3x more unforced errors in second set. fair play to Agut, expected him to crumble like Goffin after losing the first
 
Rba was never going to be an easy match but expect Novak to step it up now.

Djokovic could hit a bit flatter. Just seems he's playing a bit within himself right now.
 
He might not have the big serves of Raonic and Co but this is exactly why I felt RBA would be a far tougher challenge. Unlike the serve bots, he can actually stay in rallies and match Djokovic.
 
RBA is a solid tennis player. He's a top 25 every year since 2014, which is a harder feature than it looks.
 
The biggest difference between Djokovic and the other two is how easily he can lose his calm.

And Rafa is one of those players who it's very easy to have a meltdown, because he gets his service broken a lot of times during a game, but somehow he always manage to counnter break almost imediatly. I never saw anyone with this mental capacity as Rafa has to face adversities. I think he even plays better when the odds are starting to go against him.

Yeah, Nadal just gets better when he's broken. Like he realizes it's time to get mad and proceeds to win 4 games in a row.
 
What a shot from Djokovic after that lob from Agut, and it leads to the break as well. Third set is gone if Agut doesn't break back straight away.
