Tennis 2019

Djoker had him on the ropes for majority of set after break and now he lost it.

Thiem wins the 3rd set. Good.

Wasn't looking promising when he initially gave the break back.

 Never seen a lobbed winner off a let cord, very unlucky for Djokovic when break point down.

Thiem has really gifted away the two breaks in this set. Missing that simple passing shot, double faults and poor errors under no pressure.
He's still got a chance in this set if he can cut out the completely unforced errors.

Finally a good hold after a break
Thiem one game away from the final now.

Thiem and his unforced errors:rolleyes:

Will probably lose this match now.

Thiem should have won this by now but it's into a 5th. 18 unforced errors in that 4th set. Utterly awful performance.

To be honest Thiem was lucky to not be on the verge of 2-1 down in sets with that fortunate net ball dropping over.

Thiem seems to have regrouped a bit now. Good hold to start the set.

Djokovic should be leading this set but about to go a break down. Since the woeful BP shot hes fell apart.

Let's hope Thiem holds his serve to consolidate the break

Final will be boring as Thiem might compete first set but Rafa will end up winning it and run away with the match in 3 sets.

Barely held on to his serve there...

Thiem has been very impressive this tournament and has beaten Rafa comfortably in Barcelona this year.
He looks a bigger threat than Djokovic on the basis of this match and tournament.

Novak the umpire

Ah so that's why you're hoping Novak wins....:lol:

Neither of them will win tomorrow, Nadal just has too much.

Rafa will be happier playing Thiem especially after the delay and five set match.

Nadal also lost to Fognini and Tsitsipas on clay this year, means nothing when it comes to RG.

The wind has helped Thiem as everyone knows Djokovic struggles with those playing conditions. That being said a lucky net drop over was the difference from him going 2-1 up rather than 2-1 down.

I honestly don't know who I'd rather face in the final.
Djokovic has the mental edge over Rafa and he's not going to be fazed by the occasion but he's also been pretty ordinary. Thiem on the other hand, doesn't have the mental strength of Novak but his shots and serve have been far more damage through the tournament.

Even if that netcord didn't happen and Novak held there, it would have gone to a tie break. The netcord won him the set but it wouldn't have necessarily lost it.

I'm disappointed the final won't be as competitive as it could have been due to all the circumstances. Will probably be a routine win for Nadal.

No it was break point save. Djokovic would have been serving for the third set.

Thiem is young. He can take it.

And he has numerous pauses in his SF match.
Yeah I don't think tiredness is going to be a big factor. Both these guys had a routine QF and this match has been spread over two days.
