What a point that was! Fun tennis
I should say, the match is an enjoyable hot mess, given the conditions.I suspect Federer won't get a set here, which would suggest it wasn't a great match, but this is actually fun. Federer isn't letting him have it all his own way, albeit my gut feeling is that Nadal will turn the screw in the next half an hour or so. Though, as I type that, Federer breaks.
Best I've seen Fed perform v Nadal and it still might not be enough.
Yeah Djoko doesn't handle these conditions well. Think he'll struggle more than Theim.Rafa breaks back.
If it stays windy, Novak ain't gonna be happy. Doesn't he wear contacts? Imagine his eyes with all this dirt swirling around?
I want Thiem to win though.Yeah Djoko doesn't handle these conditions well. Think he'll struggle more than Theim.
I actually think Feds backhand has been very good despite the wind. I was not expecting it to do this well in these conditions. There's such a massive difference between points on Fed's forehand (competitive) and backhand (inevitable Rafa winner or Fed error).
Not really so far. I get that each game has tension in the first but Nadal has won 3 more games in the first set - it has always been like that in their meetings on clay(minus some exceptins). Federer has been competitive, yet always more often than not loses the set.All in all, much more competitive than plenty of you thought?
Yes. Really pleased to see Rog playing well on this surface against Rafa It might not seem so but he has done well. All in all, much more competitive than plenty of you thought?
I want Thiem to win though.
Novak is great, but his tennis bores me...
All in all, much more competitive than plenty of you thought?
Not for me.Nadal-Thiem in the final would be a lot more boring than Nadal-Djokovic
