Oh easily. A lot of Andy's points are coming off Paire's errors, apart from the front court smashes occasionally, he's not hitting too many winners from the back. Who does he play is he gets through?
Kevin Anderson or Sam Querey.

And Mueller won first set.

Still expect Nadal to come through, but if he plays like this, I can see him struggling against Cilic.

Last I checked Anderson was 5-1 up in the tie break. Now I look at it's still going on

He won the tie break 13-11! Now we are all set for a 5th set finale. He really should be winning this match though, he was doing so well in the second set and looks set to win it before he fell apart in the second and third set.

Nadal holds, 3-2. He needs to win the second set or it could be disaster. Muller seems to be on a mission and he looks absolutely determined to beat Nadal, I wouldn't be surprised if he knocks Nadal out. Nadal always struggle against big servers and he's struggled against Muller in the past on here.

As expected, Nadal struggling against a bit server. He just can't a look into his serve at all. Muller is garbage at tennis and can't stay in a rally for more than 4 shots but he's going to ace his way to a potential win. That's the great thing about grass, it gives the most average of players also a chance if they can serve well.

Nadal's cruising along on serve, don't think it'll do him much harm having to play an extra set. Interested to see how Berdych gets on against Djokovic should they both get through, their H2H is obviously ridiculously one-sided but he's not too dissimilar to the type of player Novak's struggled against here in recent years.

What's up with Raonic? Isn't grass supposed to be his strongest surface? He's fecking gash!

The serve is part of tennis, you can't simply separate things like that. He's broken Nadal's serve twice now, he's doing very well even without his serve

You seem absolutelty traumatised by Players with good serves.
If Muller is so utterly terrible at Tennis, how come he broke Nadal twice now? The guy deserves nothing but respect for the success he's finding late in his carreer. He made a final on clay as well a couple of months ago, believe it or not.

Yeah, I can't understand that mentality at all. It's the single most important shot in tennis since you can win points without the opponent having any chance to stop it. Of course it'll give you a big advantage if you can cruise through your service games.

Murray beat Paire 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-final. Nadal is in big trouble now, 2 sets down.

No excuses for Nadal this time.. fit, and in really good form but being decimated by a big server on grass court. If he loses this, his GOAT credentials take a huge hit.

Hope he gets through it, but it is looking unlikely.

I think this wr8 should be banned from this thread. Incredibly bitter and been getting away with it for far too long, I'm actually certain he's simply trolling at this point, but even if he's not, he should be banned from this thread for a while. Apparently unless you are Djoko or Nadal and ground it out for 6 hour marathons, you are rubbish....I'm taking up tennis.

Had no idea Nadal was considered a possible GOAT, thought Federer and others had him beat due to his lesser versatility in terms of court type.

Erm he's won it twice, and made 5 straight finals. His credentials on grass are far, far stronger, than anyone in the all time discussions on clay (bar borg and possibly laver). He's also won 3 on hard courts.

According to the bookmakers live odds now, they still think Nadal has a chance of winning it. I think he is done and I guess that's why grass has always been his weakest surface. If he can win the 3rd set, who knows? Very unlikely though. If Fedjokovic wins today, they have to be favourites for Wimbledon.

I'd say he's pretty versatile. He's won legit everywhere except what, the Tour Finals?

Federer already is the favourite......Djoko wasn't exactly that far behind either before this match, might be second fave now though. But Nadal goes from Muller to Cilic, who'll also be a tough one for him if he gets through this.

Indoor season and weeks at #1 is what usually hurt his resume.

This ain't over yet as some suggest. Plenty of time for Muller to implode

if Rafa wins a set and gets confident, naturally you'd expect him to then win the match but then again this Muller chap is German who are mentally tougher than most.

Fed has won the French once and reached the final 5 times, losing 4 times to the clay GOAT. That's weaker than Nadal at Wimbledon, but not "far, far" weaker.
Federer also has 2 standout clay matches that should count towards this - he ended Nadal's multi-year, 81 match, streak on clay, and he ended Djokovic's 2011 unbeaten run at the French Open.
