Nadal - Fognini is quite entertaining, although it feels like some of it might be down to Nadal being a little tired. Fognini is blasting shots left and right and only lost the first set by going classic Fognini in the tie-break, now he took the 2nd 6:3.
Fognini Implosion incoming?

Got in only to see match point. Sounds like Nadal was tested. I believe he had an ear infection in the build up to the tournament, so he didn't start training until late. I think it's Kyrgios next for him which should be a good one.

Murray attempting to feck up my acca. Currently a set down to Coric

current state of tour is the worst I've ever seen. at least Federer was just in his thirties when people used to say that Djokovic doesn't have proper competition past 2014. now everyone seem out of shape, broken and injured.

What happened with the Nadal - Kyrgios match? Thought it was supposed to be played today.

It'd actually be criminal if neither Fed nor Rafa manage to end the year as world no.1 now. The fall of Murray and Djokovic this year has been spectacular.

Kyrgios with some winners, but he stands no chance against Nadal on clay I think. He seems lost during his service games because he can't get free points at all.

Nadal to sweet the clay season, he's just too strong on that surface. If only the grass season was as long...

Nick would probably take Nadal apart on any other court right now but clay helps. I love this season where I don't have to watch Nadal struggle with his serve while everyone around him is raining down the aces

Don't think either player is anywhere near 100%, not making for a great match. Nadal looks better than yesterday at least.

What's quite surprising is that Nadal has out aced Kyrgios so far

Murray is fecking dire at the moment. So unlike him to lose to some nobody. Even on clay he'd usually do pretty well before losing to an established player. Might be time for a coaching mix up just to try and change something as he's been losing with alarming regularity since the start of the year.

Maybe needs a break?

I said it a few months back, Djokovic and Murray have played a lot of tennis in the last 10 years with very few injuries. It was going to catch up with them especially their style. Nadal atleast had few periods where he didn't play for 6 months.

Just like Djokovic winning the french, maybe Andy being world number one was the worst thing to happen to him.

I hope both players come back from the slump. Tennis needs Fed, Rafa, Djokovic and Murray firing. Miss the good old days of them four in a semi final of the same tournament.

Nishikori's pulled out with an injury (shock horror) so a good chance we'll get Nadal vs Djokovic. Not ideal preparation for Djokovic, needs all the matches he can get right now. Obviously it's tough on him being injured all the time but Nishikori's making a bit of a habit of messing with the draws with these walkovers.

Apparently first semi final so 2PM.
Would make sense, as Thiem is playing now. Will probs just record it, and depending on the length, winner and overall review of the match will watch it back.

Nadal just absolutely needs to hold on and win this match. If he can't beat Djoko in both their current forms, he'll not beat him at any point. Looking good so far though.

Nice set from Rafa. Interested to see how Novak responds.

See Ronnie in the crowd enjoying himself some tennis:)

Novak already losing his serve at the start of the 2nd.... might be time for him to get rid of his 'guru'..

Enjoyed that match.
Nadal looking unstoppable in this clay season.

Rafa breaks the hoodoo. That's a big mental boost ahead of the French.

If he beats Djokovic again next week then that could be even bigger for him. As Djokovic looked better in the second set.

You can clearly see his confidence even in the match today. Nadal runs away from backhands, the way John Goodman runs away from a salad, so when he's hitting BH winners, you know he's feeling himself.
