Federer well deserved.Incredible 5th set.Very proud and happy with Rafa. It's great to see him fighting again for Grand Slams.
Let's see how he does in the clay season
RAfa is big favourite I think for the French Open....

If this was wrestling rod would turn heel, hit federer with the trophy and take it himself

Has to try for one more Wimbledon so he can have the record outright...

With his style of play, he should just carry on now.. after this he has nothing to lose and even if he loses, he can just say I am 36 and what? perfect scenario for him right now to grab a few slams under the radar.

This was a fantastic last set. At one point early on it looked in danger to become a procession for Nadal but Federer showed incredibly mental toughness. Both played some fantastic stuff in the end. Couldn't be happier for Federer, what an achievement at 35. Feel bad for Nadal but surely he has a realistic shot at Roland Garros if he can stay fit. I hope he takes it.

This guy has such a strange voice. He speaks like he's deaf.

Nadal has got this. Federer doesn't have the legs for five sets. Brilliant in the first and third sets, but tumescent in the second and fourth. Way too many errors.

Going into the fifth with Rafa on top and playing much better, no way he gets back into this.

This is why Nadal is the best ever, even though he's behind on GS (for now). When the going gets tough and it really matters, he digs in and he wins the important points.

Federer shits himself in the same situation.

Immediate break of serve for Rafa in the first game of the set. Match over.

That one's my personal favourite

What's the record when these two meets in major finals? I imagine Nadal is way ahead.

C'mon Rafa! Matches like this are way Fed's record is an absolute joke. He got so many of those GS when his best opponent was Roddick ffs. Telling that as soon as actually good tennis players came along (Rada, Djoko) he stopped winning anything.

Of course. He's been taking lessons from Djoko in how to choke.

There we go. Just what I was saying. Nadal pulls it out of the bag when he needs to.

Hehe, bye bye Roger. Please retire now and stop embarrassing yourself.

Maybe take your own advice?!

And people call him the best ever. Crazy :wenger:

People who know more than you, evidently.

Aussie Open - Federer
Roland Garros - Nadal
Wimbledon - Wawrinka
US Open - Đoković
that first-to-two end of season - Murray

No way is Wawri winning Wimbo. His weakest surface and all the big guns will be wanting to win that one. I'd have Fed/Nadal/Murray as equals for that one.

Federer serving for the match is the best tense movement I had in recent times,I wonder why can't he start with two Ace.

"Best fans in the world"

Bit disrespectful to the Anfield crowd, that.

It's weird. I dunno why, but I really feel like going out and setting fire to a Kia dealership now.

Think I woke up my neighbours with my screaming:nervous::D

Yea serve and volley tennis should be encouraged more just for a bit of variety. Mischa zverev was a breath of fresh air.

Federer's going to be very emotional when Laver presents the trophy.

We will see.I don't know what it's going on with Djokovic but probably he will be back to his best
Novak will be back but Rafa is the greatest clay courter, and now he has his confidence back, he'll be hard to beat

Two of the GOAT
So happy for them both but glad Roger did it

Can't see either winning another GS though
Think everything aligned for both to make the final here

All these annoying speeches, what a horrible feeling must it be for the loser to stay there for so long.
No sponsors no money no tournament. They should rightly come first, otherwise everyone just takes off after the speeches of the players.

I get the feeling the only slam he will be pumped for is the French, defending champ and if he wins it, he'll be the first out of the big trio to get 2x grand slams on each. He's already won three wimbo's and I just don't see it as a priority for him.

I always felt the loser should just be allowed to go. Remember Messi being made to hang around after the WC Final to receive the Golden Boot?

Think you're wrong there. I reckon Fed will retire after this, and with Rafa back in form and Novak and Murray not playing their best, I really think he's a favourite for the French.
