Berdych, Querrey and CIlic. you won't hear Federer's fans complaining about competition now.

GOAT mode activated at 3-0 down. :drool: Cilic and Berdych will be tricky customers but he won't get a better chance at number 8.

Get the feck in!!!!! Roger:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

My heart was killing me in that tie break. Well done Rogie.

His best chance to win Wimbledon. Come on Roger!!1

36 years old and when on song he's still unplayable. I am in awe.

I'm not a big tennis person, but is there a touch of Sampras' last title to the way this is going? I just took a look at how the draw went that year, I wouldn't recognise a lot of the names anymore but he had a qualifier in the semi and Rafter in the final (who was 21 in the world at that point and 12th seed).

Wow, big results for Federer over the last few days. He could well lose to anyone if he makes a lot of errors but number 19 is definitely within reach.

Rafter was 12th and was briefly even no 1 the previous year. He hit injury and surgery and his position came down.

His Aussie open path was one of the toughest possible, and he's won several titles this year. Very different from Sampras' last.

That's a weird assumption.

Is it? Tennis probably does have a doping problem, but like the Lance era cycling, theres so much money in this big 4, that they don't want to acknowledge it.

Really opening up for Federer. Bit of a shame as I think on current form he would still have beaten the other top players if they were fit. Hopefully Cilic can help make it a worthy final but hard to see past Roger now. Crazy results today, a Müller win would have completed it.

In all fairness, in 2000.....Henman was the second favourite, and not because of British bias. Not exactly a deep pool.

Could be. Sampras played some relatively weak opponents in his finals. He was about the only top class grass court player around from 93 to 00.

Not really too bothered who wins it on the mens side. Got money on Cilic and Federer respectively, so if they meet in the final then I'm guaranteed then I'll win something. Win more with Cilic, so I'll probably route for him.

Got to feel for the organizers. Two days ago they could see a potential Fed, Nadal, Djoko and Murray SF lineup after ages and it comes down to Fed, Querrey, Cilic and Berdych :lol: That's one stunning downgrade.

So has Federer tbh. Gonzalez, Baghdatis, Roddick, Soderling, Hewitt and an ancient Agassi.

FFS! Just landed at Singapore to find out Djokovic retired! I had money riding on Djokovic to win Wimbledon, does this means that I've lost my bets? :(
