If its a strain, its a matter of few weeks to a couple of months, if its an achilles rupture, he's out for the season. Blows for him and for us.
Ten hag said hopefully fit the next game which is midweek, so hopefully nothing. My guess is he'll be saved til Arsenal on the weekend.Usually an old man's injury.
If it's tightness can be be 3-4 weeks
Martial really is unlucky this year

Memphis Depay is the best fit available right nowOh man, that’s a bummer about Martial.
Not sure if spending 90m on a wide player is more needed than another no.9.
Anyone around who is available with similar qualities to Martial?
Feck it, start the big man up top against Soton.
"You will see tomorrow [changes]. I will tell the team first [changes]. Anthony Martial is not fit."
"The spirit was already good but now it is even better [following Monday's win]. But it's only one game so we have to build further, we have to develop and I think everyone is aware of that."
"Casemiro is fit, he did all the training sessions. He [Martial] came out with a problem with his achillies. I cannot tell a prognosis, how long it takes. I hope he will be available for the next game."
"We are talking about players who are not available, I don't think they will go out in this window."
"We need to have a high standard. It's a demand to the group. Now they see what the reward is, so we have to match the runs in and out of possession. We need runs and movement if you want to dictate a game."
"It's a different challenge [to Liverpool]. Did we learn the lesson from Brentford? Because this will be more or less than same approach."
"We need players but we need the right players. The whole transfer window, we are happy with what we did until now, but the bar has to be high."
Yup. He'd be a very good signing all around IMO. Helps that he's been here and knows many in the squad, but he's developed into a decent link up/hold up striker and is a decent worker defensively. And will come cheap. Need someone in desperately to rotate with Martial.Memphis Depay is the best fit available right now

Depay, good grief.
They aren't injured. ETH is saying that he thinks they won't leave the club this window.Tuanzebe, Williams and Jones are injured? What is wrong wirh them? I missed news about those injuries
You can't turn your nose up at every player available unfortunately. He's a good player, he loves the club.Depay, good grief.
He said that they are "not available" which means.....injured?Martial, why bro?
We need him to stay fit this season. Our options are severely limited. He's also the only forward we have that can hold the ball up.

Different. Last one was hamstringIs this a separate injury from the one he had earlier this season or is this the same one that reinjured? I don't remember if the last one was a hamstring or not.

Got it. Man needs to see someone to work on his fitness. his injury record the past 2 years has been ridiculous.Different. Last one was hamstring
Memphis is a good center forward who has excellent link up play, good hold up play, can score goals and at least tries defensively. He's not a good winger. We wouldn't sign him for the wing if he came.Depay, good grief.
If Ronnie goes, it'd be a good deal, free transfer on a 3 + 1 deal, certainly fits into ETH system and work ethic. If he’s available on the cheap he wouldn’t be the worst option to rotate with Martial who clearly can’t be relied upon to stay fit for any length of time. Not ideal but desperate times and all that.
I'm genuinely angry at the Martial news. Jesus Crist we are unlucky. Guess we will have to do with Ronaldo then.

Ten Hag refused to take questions from Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill, who sat in the front row of the conference at United's Carrington training complex. Cotterill was informed before the press conference that Ten Hag would not be taking questions from him.
Yes. ten Hag hasn't forgotten.Isn't this the guy who chased him through the car park and got manhandled by his bodyguard?
