T20 World Cup

I'm guessing this muppet didn't see our world class performances against Pakistan and the West Indies. Like I said from the start, England are going to win this.

The feck is this.. a test match?

1 1 1 . . . | . 1 1 1wd . . 1 | . 1 . . 1 1 | .

Kallis is a big unit.

I thought SA were going to post a really big score, then New Zealand bowled really well in the middle overs and should go on and win this comfortably if they keep their nerve.

I've watched all the games. I don't mind it but as an entertainment, not a proper game of cricket. Still think it will be harmful to test match cricket. . .however it'll generate a lot of cash.

In the long run, Test Cricket is probably dead. Hence, the reason for these new formats to make it more attractive to new markets worldwide.

Who do you think will advance from the super eights?

England - Pieterson's the key. If fit, England can go all the way. Anyway, Anderson and Broad are quality bowlers. The latter will realise his full potential in a couple of years. Collingwood is a cock muncher, though.

South Africa - Well balanced side but with a history of bottle jobs(no, not blow jobs) and I'm not convinced this side will be any different. I'm sure they'll choke, eventually. Have you ever met a nice South African?????????

WI - Gayle at his best can take the game away from any opposition. They'll find it tough, though. Not sure they're too bothered after winning a million quid each. To be fair, I can't blame them. If I were them, I'd have my feet up on some obscure Carribean island with a bottle of rum and a spliff in my hand. 'Stereotypes' I hear you say.

India - Quality side. Ishant Sharma has impressed me but overall their bowling line up isn't a patch on their batting, which is brilliant. . .and with Yuvraj in the middle they can go all the way. Sehwag will be missed but with the likes of Dhoni and co there's more than enough quality to make up for his loss. The nappy wearers are good to be fair. And Addict will have a mental break down if they win.

Ireland - Put your money on them. I dare you.

Pakistan - Their bowling is quality and well balanced. Gul is impressive and Mohammed Aamir has great potential. However, the fielding will probably let them down and unless Afridi fires they could lack punch in the middle order. Oh and Shoaib Malik is rubbish. But you can never tell with them, it's either the sublime or the utterly ridiculous.

Sri Lanka - Have impressed immensely. Mendis could spin them to the final. . .he really is a handful. In fact, I have a fancy for them.

New Zealand - How do they always manage to reach semis? They're an awful excuse for a cricketing nation - this has in no way got anything to do with their loss against SA today. The arseholes. Fake Aussie bastards.

Oram and McCullum can easily do it if they can be arsed.

Oram is the most over-rated player in cricket today, closely followed by Afridi.

I'm not sure we can win this now, with Sehwag out. The batting line-up's fragmented with Dhoni coming up the order, Raina et al demoted.. not convinced Rohit has what it takes to open. It's a pity because he's in terrific form and his natural position is in the middle-order.

Sehwag's replacement is Irfan Pathan, which gives us plenty of bowling options but he looks like he can be taken for runs any time. We need RP to be included and in form. Till then, our team just looks weird. Not as good as our actual side.

I think South Africa are the favourites now, despite their poor showing yesterday. England have an outside chance now, IMO. And yes, I can't believe NZ are virtually in the semi-finals again. It feels like it happens every tournament. The luck of the draw always favours them.

Ishant's a great bowler in test cricket, btw.. first time he's bowling well in limited overs. Amazing potential, but he's not fully developed. He himself said after the IPL that he needs to develop as an impact bowler. I'm glad he's recognizing his own weaknesses.

Super 8s start tomorrow. I'll miss a couple of days of cricket because I have an exam on Saturday.

My prediction

India, WI, SRL and Pakistan to make the semis

India - Lanka final

Lanka to win it

India, SA, SL, NZ
India vs SA final

India to win

Sri Lanka have got off to a good start. They are looking great at the minute with the bat and ball. I can't wait to see Mendis vs Gayle, I think Gayle will slog him out of the park.

Dilshan is a class act!

Sri Lanka have the most dangerous bowling attack in my opinion. I agree what you say about us, our batting may be a little fragmented now because Sehwag and Gambhir have such a great understanding opening the batting but now we'll have to adapt to the situation. Major debate in the Indian media regarding Dhoni at no.3 and I doubt we'll see that again too soon though it does depend on the circumstances. Would like to see Raina in at 3. I can't wait to watch our match later today, hope we're not complacent and don't take our foot off the pedal.

Gayle isn't playing for the West Indies.. only just noticed  Sri Lanka win then..

Did anybody just see that fielding which saved a six?

How the feck was it not a 6.. it crossed the boundry rope by a mile ffs. Shocking decision by the umpires imo.

I don't know the rules but it had to be a six didnt it? Stunning effort to stop it though, never seen anything like that.

Really enjoying this tournament, has been a massive exam distraction though! Reckon Sri Lanka are going to win it though, Dilshan is superb

Nobody knew the rule  I've never seen it happen before

I can see them winning

Yea, I had a feeling you would.

9/2 in 3 overs. Played and missed like 15 balls so far, Zaheer's swinging it both ways.

You should stick 100 on them. Great odds now, probably.

Hehe. I'm not stupid enough to put £100 on Ireland. The England bet is a fantastic one though, you agree now? I bet you are shitting yourself. We will hammer you!

No, I don't. You're going to be out in the super 8s and we'll beat you, too.
