Rivals would probably prefer me not to get injuries to Kewell or McManaman :lol:

Another (minor) reason is I wouldn't be able to bring on Torricelli without subbing Möller as well. Entirely avoidable, but I love his story so wanted him on board.

I've just realised I can't put Carragher on without taking Carrick off. And I can't put Gattuso on without taking Rui Costa off. Also Robinho and Gattuso can't be on the pitch at the same time.

God I need these injuries to fall in the right place! :wenger:

Yeah I picked Carragher on a whim as he covered my full back line. I literally forgot he was playing so recently as it just seemed like he retired years ago.
 
Just a reminder that we all need to rank the top three teams in order and send to Green Smiley. Whoever gets the most points wins the best drafter award. Please also check who you are playing the injury rule - they're all threadmarked. Try to schedule all the games to finish before 11th December. Drafts need pace and Christmas is coming. Also PM me your squad with shirt numbers for everyone and then I'll post them all on here so there's no dispute about who gets injured.

How are we rating them? By individual quality, tactical cohesion, player/tactical versatility, smart drafting (leaving ample room for reinforcements etc)? I'd say the tactical aspect of it should weigh quite heavily and I'd say there are a fair few teams out there, whom I'm not quite certain how they will line up.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

I think it's difficult at first glance myself, unless you simply add up the total quality of the squad (and even that might take some work, fine margins and all). If you factor in draft order (which I think you should), how well the manager has dealt with the restrictions themselves (which you also should), and how nicely he has set himself up for both injuries and reinforcements (ditto, I suppose)...well, it's a bit of a task to fairly judge the thing.

As it's not really that big a deal I'm just going with which squad I think would win the draft if no reinforcements were made.

All I'd say is to consider the entire squad not just what you'd think the starting XI is especially considering injuries can play a part.

I went with a casual approach. Just scanning through the teams and ignoring any sort of tactics as that will be done in the match threads. Basically copied the list of all teams and players and kept the ones I liked and deleted those I didn't until it was like five teams left then I tried to put them in order, and delete the last two.
