And thankfully we also have Martial and Rashford as 2 prospects who might develop into our next long term strikers after Ibra leaves in 2 years... Else that was another £100m cheque that needed to be signed!

Oh my this rumour is hilarious. Are United going to pay 100% of the wages like the Nani deal? We would probably have to sell the stadium to afford his wages. This is as funny as the Mário Gomez rumour where we would pay him 6 million per year when our salary cap is 1.4 million. This ain't gonna happen

Since it would be a free transfer could you not balance out the wages by giving him a big signing on bonus?

Nah mate, it ain't going to happen. We can't afford players like Schweinsteiger unless we only pay 10% of his wages. The Schweinsteiger transfer thread in our fórum was locked by the mod with a " no explanation needed" reasoning. This comes from the same newspaper that said that we were interested in Benzema last year. Correio da Manhã is worse than "The Sun". It's a Joke of a newspaper, a clueless tabloid. Don't waste your time with this rumour. He may leave but certainly not for us.
