For all the nutters looking for Private Jets, yeah about that, you cant fly from the US to the UK via private jet, Im assuming here but Id imagine they cant quite hold the fuel required.

He will be arriving via standard chartered jet and will be landing in Heathrow most likely then be flown in via MataChopper.

London to New York is only 3,500 miles. Tons of small jets can do that. There's a whole category of private jets that can go 6k+ and the new gulf streams are capable of 8k.

Some amount of moaners here. He's away on his holidays. Wasn't scheduled to be back in Juve for training until Monday the 8th regardless of transfer or not. We won't complete the deal until he comes to Manc and completes the medical and sign the documents. The media posting clickbait at this stage.

Rojo starts for a pretty good Argentina team. It would be a mistake to sell him now. Everyone complains that we get fleeced selling players in the transfer market but this is exactly the reason. You don't make money selling people while they are struggling. Look at what Jose did at Chelsea with Mata. He wasn't even playing much but Mourinho held onto him until someone was desperate enough to pay top dollar. Hopefully he employs the same strategy (and is backed up by the front office) here.
I dont know if you understand what happened, Mourinho didnt keep him because he wanted him to sell for more, Mata wanted to stay and prove his worth and came in handy in some games and than we came, very desperate, it was more of a luck than meisterstück from Jose. If a player is not good enough has no future in the club he should go. Rojo is defo surplus and should go, his price will not go dramatically up for a couple of appearances he will make here and there, it's better to get him off the wage bill and trim the squad so we can focus on other players.. There is Blind, Darmian and CBJ who can play there. No need for average CB who is below par left back to be a back up on the left..

Why the hell do clubs leave their business so late? The season starts in just over a week and by the looks of it we're still to sign our £100million midfielder, Arsenal are still to sign their £50million striker, Liverpool their £45million winger, Chelsea their £70million striker, City their £50million defender. It's not like these players are filling back-up gaps in squads, they're all being bought to be star players for their team and are going to get a matter of days with their new managers and team mates before being expected to slot in seamlessly.
It just seems counter-productive to spend so much money on a player and not give them as much chance as possible to be ready for the new season.

maybe he has an echo from his sources here and there but I am sure he's just making it up 90% of times. Little kid would make up what he and these "jurnos" write... You don't fecking say there is last document to be sorted before Pogba signs... Oh dear I was wrong it's not happening in next two days, so I should rather write it will be within three weeks so people will not jump on it... some people will believe every shit they say if it's their wet dream...

Wouldn't surpsise me at all if he was one of the English jurnos and would somehow generate clicks for whoever through his new Italian identity

I don't rate Ashley Williams very highly, but £15m for a British premier league captain, who has bags of PL experience and has just captained his country to the semi finals of the euros, still seems a pretty good deal.

I know he's 31 and all, but still.. We're in a world where Ighalo is apparently worth more than £37m

Can you link another tweet in the twitter feed so i dont have to see the baldy muppets stupid face every time i open the homepage?
Please?

Would absolutely go for him at this price, a real bargain IMO.

Loan Jones and let Rojo train with the academy players (or maybe not as this wouldn't have a good infuence on our young defenders though).
Hope Mou has him on the radar - (EPL) experienced, leader, never injured, quality defender and top price in todays market.

Would be a way better deal than Miranda!

Borthwick-Jackson > Darmian. There were instances in which BJ was one of our better performers last season. Darmian plays like he'd rather be somewhere else. We should take a chance and sell him.
At any rate, I'd even prefer Rojo at LB to Darmian. Darmian's the worst player on the list.
I personally rate CBJ, and think he has this special ability of reading the game well enough that he still does well despite being as athletic as other British talents. He reminds me of someone like Sergio Busquet. Problem is the change of management means that the profile for the role also changes. Darmian may never come good (he showed that his ceiling was very good in Italy and few decent early for us), yet Mourinho may not fancy CBJ style. Mourinho prefers his fullback to be good in 1vs1. CBJ'a style is about using his surrounding to defend: close down the dangerous route and show attacker the hard road (it's a good concept but CBJ is nowhere established enough to force Mourinho' hand). Mourinho's full back is more ball winning, more brute force in forcing error from the attacker. For the like of Paulo Ferreira (similar to Darmian), they're not very strong in 1 vs 1 yet they're quite effective to a certain level of pick pocket the attacker. Then clearly Mourinho prefers Shaw, Valencia over Darmian so nothing to worry for the back up option.

Damian showing last year may edge Rojo in bad performance, but Darmian shows that he has good ceiling in the past as FB. Rojo even in his best games as fullback is very pointless with average ceiling. Rojo is like Ashley Young of the defense. Flashy but deceptively average.
