You've got the United disease: sell our players cheap. He's an Italian international; 35m euros at least.
Fonte is still class, but he'll turn 33 this year and considering he plays for Southampton, he'll likely still cost £10m ish. Bonucci is world class, but there's no chance Juve would sell him, especially after selling Pogba. Even if Bonucci were to be sold, Castles reckons Juve want £60m, which is ridiculous money for a 29 year old CB. Garay for me would make the most sense out of the lot. Eventhough, he'll be 30 soon, if we can get him for £15m or under, it'll be decent business.Fonte or Bonucci. No thanks to Garay.
But in the same market, where Roma would ask for €50m for Manolas, why can't we ask that for Darmian. Darmian had a disappointing season, but so has Stones, and somehow Everton want £50m for him, when they were asking for the already prohibitive £40m last summer from Chelsea. We bought him for €15m and has become worse then when we bought him. €35m is like more than double for a player that got worse, dont think we will ever get that.
I'd take Fonte in a heart beat. We would have that perfect balance between experience and youth in the first 11.Fonte or Bonucci. No thanks to Garay.
Difference is Manolas did well and has garnered interest from Premier League teams (everyone knows they have the money) and even though Stones has been rubbish a Premier League side is interested who Everton see as a competitor. With both players, Roma and Everton are reluctant to sell. But in the same market, where Roma would ask for €50m for Manolas, why can't we ask that for Darmian. (We bought Darmian for €20m btw).
Yeah that's true. But if the only interest in Darmian is with Italian clubs that won't pay what we want, then we simply shouldn't sell. Or if we do, we'd swap Darmian for a player we're interested from the club. Manolas has done well, but to ask for 4 times what they paid 2 years ago for is extreme either way you look at it. Especially if with Darmian, we are expected to take a loss. Darmian may have had one disappointing season, but the season before, he was in the Seria A team of the year (Manolas e.g. hasn't ever made it there) and also won the award for the Italian national team player of the year in 2015. The latter is some achievement for a team with players like Bonucci, Chielini, Barzagli, Buffon, Verrati and co.Difference is Manolas did well and has garnered interest from Premier League teams (everyone knows they have the money) and even though Stones has been rubbish a Premier League side is interested who Everton see as a competitor. With Darmian I doubt we'd strongly want to keep him, and with only team interested being an Italian one the price goes down lots.
It's suggesting that he is advising Fellaini to leave, rather than suggesting it
I think tony is suggesting he has moved on from tying to create assists for Rooney to Ibra and Fellaini. It's suggesting that he is advising Fellaini to leave, rather than suggesting it
Apparently the translation is actually moving forward rather than moving on?
Its translated so not what he actually said in his first language.Don't know. The Instagram screenshot shows moving on?
Everton will have some serious money to spend if the sell him and Stones, although I thought with the takeover they already had money to spend?
As per the reports, they are making some serious bids but none of the players are eager to join them. Kaloubily, Witsel & Mata to name a few.Everton will have some serious money to spend if the sell him and Stones, although I thought with the takeover they already had money to spend?
OK. Gazetta Dello Sport is reporting it too now.
According to Gazzetta dello sport , Chelsea have offered EIGHTY MILLION EUROS for Romelu Lukaku.

According to the British press, in fact, Chelsea and Everton would find an agreement to close the transaction (of course outright) around 70 million euro.
Damn, it's like a cobweb. The journo did not mention Express anywhere in his tweet. Should I delete the post?Taking tweets for their word is a bad idea. Better to look at articles themselves as more often than not they reference something else. All revolves around the Express /SportWitness
Yeah please. They rarely do refer to other papers in the tweets or whatever to sound more legit.Damn, it's like a cobweb. The journo did not mention Express anywhere in his tweet. Should I delete the post?
Deleted. The reaction of chelsea fans on twitter is priceless. They are going nuts on the reported price.Yeah please. They rarely do refer to other papers in the tweets or whatever to sound more legit.
