Athletico really are becoming a European powerhouse now, making good investments for players and avoiding selling players they want to keep hold of.
Surprised they didn't try and get Steve Bruce given his record of getting clubs out of that league.
I wouldnt even say it is avoiding selling players, they have just bought so well Torres/Aguero/Falcao/Costa/Griezmann as strikers...Vietto is about the only one not worked out, all top strikers. Then look at the goalkeepers recently DeGea/Courtouis/Oblak. They just keep buying great replacements, I think Giminez is going to be a fantastic replacement in defence as well. Plus they seem to have a lot of good youngsters as well.
Whether its the scouts, coaches or manager they are really doing a fantastic job, similar to Dortmund but even better. Also I think Simeone is probably the best manager outside of the premiership, hated him as a player but his passion as a manager really is to be admired.
