Can't blame a man if he wants to play football at 43 and can make money out of it.

He's not getting that offer anywhere else.

He's 30 during this coming season. Too much money will be asked for his age. Get Pogba and then reassess after this season as to what else is needed.

Probably need to actually start trying to sign him before giving up on trying to sign him.

Look like a mini version of a Smalling in this pic. In his thread, there was a post about special release clause for certain big clubs (of course excluding City). So for the guy waiting all this time for big clubs, why would he chooses City over United (one of the clubs inserted in the clause). Is this the Palmeiras pushing for money with City?

Dont believe this one my self or want it. I do really like Payet, oozed quality all of last season for West Ham and at the Euros, but £50-60m for him to me is as ludicrous as Juventus spending so much on Higaun at his age, which really is an example of football gone mad to me.

Be interesting to see what happens coming up to deadline day. SO far I am very happy with our signings if including Pogba (even though Id like 1 or 2 more and several going out). City look like they will have had a really good window long term with these youngsters they are being linke dwith (I have a feeling Gundogan may be a flop though with his injuries). I think Chelsea have made really astute signings so far and COnte will be a great manager. Liverpools surprise me, they dont look that great but then again Klopp has signed quite a few unknowns in his time that have become gems.

Funnily enough a lot of the other big clubs in the premiership dont seem to have done too much so far but I have been really impressed with Leicester. Losing Kante is obviously huge and there is surely no way they can get anywhere near to last seasons achievement but I think they have made really good buys too. This season could be the best for a long time I think, it has taken 5 or 6 years of mediocrity in my opnion as a leagye after a golden era but I think the premiership is well and truly back this season :)

The Higuain fee makes more sense when you consider that it significantly weakens Juve's biggest rival to the title, while significantly improving themselves. Also, he's consistently found the net in Italian football for three years, whereas Payet has only recently reached these heights. Higuain to Juventus makes a lot more sense than Payet to United.

He had an offer from Barca and refused them to go to City, for a manager that will be there for three years of his development? Yeah right.

The fact that he made sure that a lower buyout clause was instilled in his last contract for us, Barca, Bayern and RM also tells me that he would choose either of us over City, and especially so for Barca and RM.

I hear you. However, he can't have known Guardiola was going to manage City at the time he wrote his contract. I can understand him turning down Barca, would be difficult to get playing time. I can see him spending 2-3 years at City then if he's established he'll move on to Barca/Real.
Are they reliable?
According to brazilian posters on the Caf, ye.

Brazilian sources are normally shite. Weren't they the ones linking us with Firmino?
