Isn't the issue with Real Madrid that they don't want to pay the agent fee?

I'm probably being hopelessly naive, but why is either club paying an agents fee? If Paul Pogba wants help negotiating a deal with a new club then good luck to him, but surely it's for him to pay the fee for that assistance?

All the buying club needs to do is to agree a fee with Juventus - where's the role for an agent in that?

Mendez, Raiola and Ed are our Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
Errrm, Woodie does not like doing a Wonder Woman.

I feel they are delaying it because Juve wants to get their business done early so people don't try and mug them after they find out they now have a ton of disposable transfer cash.

You can taste the bitterness and the salt from ballbag all the way from here

I'm not entirely sure how it all works but the reported figure that the agen is getting is between 20-25mil I think that's euros but not sure. I'm assuming that's for delivering Ibra, Mkhitaryan and Pogba and hopefully not just Pogba.

I dislike sports "journalists" on Twitter. Most of them are self-important agenda pushers who view unbiased, factual commentary as being of secondary importance to click fishing and opinion pieces. Yawn.

A gift to Juve

This would make no sense if we were selling Memphis without getting a player in return, as Juve generally always low-ball. If it was inclusive in the Pogba deal, we have to be careful as the prices reportedly quoted for Pogba is considerably above his current market price, so we need scale Memphis's value accordingly. Also, hope we put in some sort of buy-back clause in the deal (perhaps like Morata's), as the last thing I want is Memphis to go on to be a world beater and having to pay 5 times the fee we sell him for to get him back.

A gift to Juve

In no shape or form should we do this unless its a loan or we have first option buy back at a set rate. Surely we can't buy pogba for 100 mill more than we sold him for then do the same with depay. Even if there is only a 1 percent chance we can't let this happen. Imagine pogba failing and then having to buy depay in 5 years for 100 mill. In fact I'm sick of juve and their fans. We gave them evra and pogba. What have they ever done for us.

You're probably right. It's not an agent fee in the proper sense of the term though - that would imply that some professional service had been provided for which proper payment was being made. A more accurate term might incorporate words like bribery/extortion/backhander etc. There seems to me to be no legitimate reason for any club to pay a penny to an agent, ever!

Sure I can see that a club might want to sound a player out before going to the trouble of making a formal bid to his club (leaving aside concerns about 'tapping up'), and so might put a call in to the players agent, but even in that respect the agent is working on behalf of the player, representing his interests, and should be paid by the player for his efforts. If a film Director rings Brad Pitt's agent to see if Brad would be interested in a film role, we wouldn't expect the agent to be saying "How much are you going to pay me for passing the script onto my client", yet for some reason in football behavior amounting to blatant racketeering has become commonplace and acceptable.

Can I propose that if Ballague gets the Pogba story wrong (don't let him backtrack later) that he does indeed get blacklisted on here?

Remember also his story a few months ago... "United want to keep LvG"

Anybody with me?

...anyone?

Doesn't matter if he is blacklisted, his tweets would still end up getting posted like the Daily Express one.
