You are correct. The season before last he played mainly on the right IIRC, in 2015/16 it was mostly on the left. I forgot they already signed Mendy, I think this either means that Fabinho moves permanently into midfield or he's going to be sold.
Boro is more Subotic's level right now. I have no idea why Arsenal would be interested.
Subotic and Mertesacker would be some pairing

Surprised about Sidibe going to Monaco. I guess Fabinho is leaving or will play DM. Not only that but Monaco already have Almamy Toure who looks like a brilliant young right back to me (though I guess they will develop him centrally). Subasic; Sidibe, Mendy, Glik, Toure; Bernando Silva, Mbappe, Fabinho, Lemar, Moutinho/Traore; Falcao looks a strong team with a lot of potential.
He'd be a good buy for us I feel, especially with the versatility. Did Jardim play him more as a RB or DM last season?
RB I think. Last summer I would have preferred Fabinho to Darmian, so I agree he would be a good signing. Sidibe could have been a good signing for us as well.
I figured we'd leave RB until next season but if the chance is there to sign Fabinho we might well get it done now.
Seems like we're still keen on Fabinho.
edit: the question was whether we're going to sign another defender this summer.
He'd probably be a very good signing and I definitely won't complain, but there are other positions where I would prefer another signing even with Pogba possibly signing. A second centre-back or another offensive player would be more important to me.
I always take the view that signings are independent of one and other, so if another quality attacking player or experienced CB became available then we'd act, but neither would have an effect on whether we should strengthen RB. One more CB would be my preference as well if it was an either/or situation though.

Sounds like a Real supplied story to explain to the fans why they are going to lose out. Claiming Zidane is a big pull particularly stands out as pro-Madrid shite. As if anyone would be inclined to work under him rather than Mourinho.
Yes, this is more about LEquipe confirming the stories that Arsenal and Lille had reached an agreement but he decided to go to Monaco instead.
Looking forward to the "Subotic has chosen Middlesbrough over Arsenal" tweet.

This might be relevant, since we are linked to Fabinho. But if it's the case, I'll edit it.
Oh, it's relevant to fabinho link i agree, but it's not a direct transfer news tweet. So, you might want to enclose that kind of tweets in quotes instead. The comments you put it with the tweets in the post do not appear on the tweets-only thread, so it might confuse people who just browse that for transfer news.
