Btw, since we already pay top wages to all our players, how many players can we afford to pay 200k+? Excluding Rooney and Ibra, who are here for a short term, we'll have DDG, Pogba if he comes, Martial definitely in a few years. All very young in their footballing age. That's insane amount in wages.

I believe that too. Seriously, as soon as the Euros are over and the hype train has reached its peak, Madrid will swoop in, get their man for around £65-75m in a few days, and that'll be that. To be fair, both those claims could be true. If - and a massive if - we're going to get this done we need to act more quickly than pretty much any transfer we've made in our recent history. Granted, that wouldn't be hard to beat, but we really need to press this one home ASAP. If we hang around Real will most probably swoop, if they don't anyway.

I understand it's a bit threadbare as plans go, especially if nobody coughs up the 60mil they supposedly want for Morata.
It would have made more sense to give up their federative rights on Morata as part of the bargaining to sweeten the deal for Juve.
Now they took one player away to sell for a shit ton, so they can buy another player away from the same club. Can not imagine Juve would be too happy about that.
