Summer Transfer Tweets 2016

I was worried with the new money, teams will start challenging seriously. It seems these clubs don't know what to do with the money. West Ham, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth bidding huge amounts for meh players.

In this climate, we should be able to get £20m for sideshow Bob and £30m for Mata.

How do other clubs get so much money for their unwanted players but we end up selling for a pittance? I mean Liverpool could get £45m for Benteke and Ibe, two fairly ordinary players. We sold most of our title winning team for less than that.

Seems like the smaller clubs don't know what to do with their increased budgets and are throwing money around for bang average and plain shit players.

So if the tweets are anything to go by and Pogba has agreed terms, that means he's up for it, right? It's only Juventus who stand in the way?

There's something slowly growing on my face, the larger it gets the faster my heart beats.
Purse your lips, baby

Thing is, if all clubs have an increased budget not much really changes. The only thing that goes up is the price of players due to inflation. Yes, clubs have more to spend than they did last year but compared to other teams in the same division right now they don't. With the extra cash teams in the PL now have they'll be able to compete more strongly than ever with teams from other divisions. When it comes to internal transfers (transfers between two PL clubs) we're just going to see a hike in prices.

He's not even worth £5million. Some of these clubs have more money than sense.
15m surely includes a bunch of add-ons. I have noticed this journo always report a figure which shows Liverpool better in the transfer dealings. Mane's purchase price was reported without add-ons, Benteke's offer from palace was reported including add-ons (in the headlines).

The prices we're seeing is out of this world, the price tag on Pogba is hilarious. But the funniest two I've seen mentioned this summer is Benteke and Deeney. Above 30 million for those two

Pogba may be the biggest move/transfer this Summer.
Because MUFC want him, prices will rise.
A Word Record transfer fee is not surprising at all and certainly not out of this World, in as much as Shearer (£15M, to Newcastle), was not out of this World.

Benteke is a England to England club transfer and because English clubs have so much TV money, transfer fees will rise, when dealing with domestic (within England) transfers.

I did a search and everyone seems to be saying £15 million up front on this one. James Pearce is usually reliable when it comes to Liverpool, whether it's positive or negative.

West Ham paid £10 million for Payet didn't they? That alone shows how mad buying from English clubs is.

With the sums thrown around for English players by English clubs we should flog Ashley Young and Phil Jones ASAP.

I am sure we could get £15m for Jones and £5-8m for Young. We should really get more for Young, but his age is an issue. We might be able to squeeze someone for £10m though. He will be mint for a mid-table club for two-three seasons.

I don't really get why people are so surprised over the price tag of Benteke

His value when Liverpool bought him was around £35m, he just hasn't been given a chance at Liverpool to play but he is still the same quality striker that is worth his price tag. I could imagine Benteke being a very good striker for a club like Palace, if he was so good for Villa, why wouldn't he be so good for Palace. Liverpool will want to sell but if enough clubs are interested they can hold out until they get their money back or atleast a big portion of it.

Benteke wasn't a 35m striker when pool bought him and he certainly isn't now, being on much higher wages and coming off a terrible season. Palace seem desperate to make some pointless splash though, so they'll probably pay up.

English clubs are going mental! Quick, get Mata, Fellaini and Young in the window.

OH SHIITTTTT IT'S ONNNNN POGBACK!

Did they send Dumbstar to negotiate with Bournemouth & tricked them into thinking Ibe can be as good as Sterling? Insane English tax indeed. Ibe is a nothing player, kick & rush. Very good money for him if true. :D

With Mourinho I'm more convinced we'll get a good price for our rubbish.

Under LVG/ Moyes/ Sir Alex we'd have got 26p and a half eaten cheese toastie for the three of them combined.

She couldn't even get right how long Pogba was at United.....

I'am expecting anytime now from sky sports:

Breaking News: SAF has left Man United as head coach
Breaking News: Rooney has hair again
Breaking News: We the feck don't have a clue what breaking news is

Signing him makes United clear favourites for the title. Have you ever had a summer as strong as this one is turning out to be?

I wouldn't start worrying about this yet. We've made some good, potentially very good signings, but I really don't think we'll get Pogba. Perhaps it's just past experiences making me jaded, but it just seems like there's a lot of noise about this. More than usual even, which just makes me feel that it's more likely Raiola is trying to taunt Madrid into upping their bid.

He can't just let it be...miserable git!!

Best part is it really was not hesitation, we had our offer in, so did Bayern. The player made his choice. I don't get this thought that people have that if a team is interested in a player that they will not get their bid in. Regardless of what we did, Bayern was going to bid on him.

If we sign Pogba then no, this one is by far the strongest I can recall.

I felt we had a strong summer when we signed Di Maria, Falcao, Herrera, Shaw, Rojo, Blind, in retrospect most of them failed but at the time they felt like very good additions and strong transfers.

But this one would easily top that ofcourse (if we get the Pog)

Do you mean top that in terms of failure?

Another thing is that if we had signed Sanches, then no way would be trying to get Pogba for £100m now.

So this might turn out good for us United fans

It feels like there's too much smoke here for it not to happen. Juventus would be mad to turn it down as well, £100 million is unprecedented.

On basis of excitement - Summer 07: Nani, Anderson, Hargreaves, Tevez, [Kuszczak]

Last summer was pretty exciting tbh, and yes the one before. But this one because of also Mourinho if we got Pogba tops the lot for me

No way we're going to signing anyone as exciting as the PIG.
