Maybe, or they'll fancy the challenge of getting a top club back to where it is supposed to be.
Striker comes pretty far down on the must-have list.
1: proper CB
2: proper holding \ dm
3: proper wingers
Sadly 2 and 3 is amongst the hardest to find these days. Really can't think of any realistic targets which would be of the quality required.

Why do people think you can only sort one position out at a time? Fixing the defense isn't going to help us put the ball in the net, it's not like we've been getting tonked bar the Chelsea game, but we are struggling to finish chances off.

1st reply to the thread had the right answer. Has to be Icardi unless a special talent like Dybala becomes available. Those starting with rashford are just too blinded to see that he is in very very poor form.
If there's any chance of Griezemann then we need to offer him the world.
However I think Ibra will only have the one season and if José survives, I think he will be looking for a new target man up top. Lukaku fits the bill, even with their history.
Another option I think could be Alex Mitrovic. He's come on a lot under Benitez, 22 years old, nearly 6'3" tall, powerful, physically strong, willing to fight defenders all game, good in the air and seems a right nasty b*stard by all accounts.
Think he could be the perfect Mourinho type of footballer. A year in the Championship will be a good learning experience and hopefully he'll learn to control his temper cause as I said, I mean the guy is a real jerk.

interchangable front 3 like barca do with neymar suarez and messi.
We should move in for Benzema IMO. World class striker that can set up a chance for himself and score when called upon. He'll be 29 next year so he will still have few good years in him. Morata will be taking over as their main striker and Ronaldo drifts in number 9 spot more often than not.

Icardi could be a option. Already 10 goals in 12. 57 goals in 103 in 4 years at Inter and only 23 years of age.

Why not just move Martial up front? Sign a classic left winger(someone like Douglas Costa) as our top prospect left back will also profit from that type of player ahead of him. Use a classic left side and on the right we can use wingback + floater combo.

dont know really, i really like Weigl and he reminds me of Carrick from Spurs days but i dont watch BVB often so my opinion is based on a very small sample.
Play Rashford or Martial upfront. It's not that difficult to comprehend. You develop the team around your spine to create goals and make the machine work.

Think it'll be a mistake to buy Griezmann, only to put him on the right wing. I used to think he'd be a good winger, where he can cut in onto his left, but he really is much better centrally.
he wouldnt be a winger though, he would have the freedom to float centrally as we wouldnt have a number 10 inside and wingback would offer width on the right. Defensive wise Herrera would help out as we have a midfield three + Griezmann has fantastic work rate so its not you have some lazy bastard there who will play only when we have possession.
I like to think ed 'dealmaker' Woodward could actually make this happen.
Koeman has pretty much put Lukaku in the shop window for next year after his recent comments, Rooney has said he would like to finish his career at Everton & he is not exactly well placed here anymore. Given how bad Rooney has been recently he would not be much leverage.
If we can't get a top top striker, stick with Rashford.

But Mourinho in his time in England likes to play with a big man up front and after Ibra has his season, I think José will be looking for a striker to fit that profile.
He loved Drogba leading the line due to his height, strength, ability to hold up possession from long, high passes, would bully centre backs into giving up free kicks in bad positions etc. Drogba was a bloody good footballer too. Diego Costa came in and took over that role of being the big, strong player leading the line.
It's not me that would want a player like that but José. He has been full of praise for Mitrovic in the past saying he had all the attributes to go all the way to the top.

I would rather we see rashford get a run leading the line, he's shown glimpses what he can do last year, he's a cool finisher and I think we should put more faith into rashford if we looking to go forward in the future, would love to see rashford, martial and another attacking forward lead a 3 prone attack. I rather we concentrate building our defense and midfield up, with a possible winger on the other side to counter balance rashford and martial
