McTominay has kept things ticking nicely, assist for the goal, had a great ball for AWB where he should have hit the target, made a crucial block. Some positional problems, but he's growing fast into his role. The better of the two midfielders today for sure.

He's doing okay but needs to stop the long diagonals. Both times it was intercepted and countered. His ground passing is much better.

Other teams also know that if McT has time on the ball he wont do anything with that time. Give Pogba time on the ball and he will do something with it

Pereira isn't good at anything is he? Needs to be moved on for his own career and to free up a spot for someone better for us.

Pogba has been sloppy but I really don't think playing in a two helps. He started well but now keeps getting caught on the ball and without someone else to shield the defence we keep getting caught. McTominay should be deeper than him to make the most of his qualities but he can't go forward due to the lack of cover.

Rashford has been non-existant up front aside from that horrendous header when he was offside.

James started well but aside from the great goal he's not had much luck.

We'll probably concede second half unless we seriously change things up.

Soton have been poor and their midfield lines are getting broken easy, but Pogba has gotten into problems by dilly dallying on the ball. United have to continue to have a wide outlet then move up the pitch.

Yeah, Pogba was dreadful in that first half. But that's often the case with him, hopefully he'll come alive in he second half as the opposition begins to tire.

Yes, completely agree. Pogba really just needs to keep it simple and put a shift in. He's doing the latter. Pereira needs the time to show what he can do, then give Greenwood a proper chunk of time to play. I'd like him to come on at 2-0 up though!
