Some interesting developments at OT

FFS everybody, websites need hits, you mugs do that then believe everything you read.

This is a tad unfair since most of these rumours come from friends friends etc etc

I dont even know the origin of these rumours, I havent seen it online anywhere.

No, no, no. Keano or Ruud won't be leaving.

It's not true, it's not true, it's not true.

RVN as good as he is is not as inspirational to the team as Keano is.
But after all this "rumour" is almost definitely bullshit. RVN likes it Utd and Keane quitting would signal defeat to the FAI and the media.
So I dont think so!

Ruud is an inspiration in the sense that the supporters worship the ground he walks on. The fact that he quickly became a fans favourite and is now selling the shirts means the idea of offloading Ruud is ludicrous. ;)

Selling to Real? Why would we even consider selling a player to our biggest rival for the European Cup?

Can anyone see us selling to Liverpool or Arsenal? No. Nor would they sell to us.

They are the only club linked with him so far, so if these rumours hold water, I can only see it being Real. ;)

I read somewhere that RVN isn't happy with Fergie playing him up front, alone. And for this reason he had been considering a move or asking for a transfer.

If this is the reason I would hope that Fergie decides on a more regular formation which would include a more or less consistant partner up front for RVN.

If this is the reason I hope he's promptly sold, there's no room for that. The gaffer decides and thats that.

I don't however think this is the case. I'm sure Ruud would prefer to always have a partner upfront, but I doubt he went and complained about it.

no player is bigger than the club.

I don't think Ruud is the sort to moan however. I find it very hard to believe that Ruud is at the center of this rumour to be honest.

ccccc This is stupidest rumor yet. It started with kev-two-players-are-gonna-be-sold-but-i-can't-say-nothing-alse-thered (wich by the way is probably a scouser and should be banned). Since it's so everybody started spreading it over these two forums

As I already said, if Ruud was unhappy, and asked for a transfer, SAF would not say 20 days later that Ruud is going to work on his stamina earlier than the other players...
It could only be Veron IMO.
Keano might as well wait one more seson until he wins CL at OT to retire. And, as somebody already said, he's not the one to surrender to FaI

Well, he started it online anyway. Before that, nobody mentioned nothing. And he said it was from his sorces, not some magazines....

greetings jedi......used the force to search for an answer to all this madness, has jedi master.....and know now does jedi master the announcement to be made on the 5th of July.......grand master ferguson has brilliantly tempted eric cantona to return to United....he will play just behind rvn and United will be an unstoppable force....so for heaven's sake, will you lot just stop worrying yer pants off.......... ;)

I think the forum is now very boring in a whole. If not why there are so many response to the ultra non-sense fiction in the original post?

Is this Championship Manager or what?

There was a rumour a few weeks ago that we were all going to be surprised with developments at OT.

I thought it was Ole that was going to be leaving but AEBM could well be right on this one IMO.

Not the Keano leaving bit but the Ruud one I'll go along with that. :(

Be ready for anything. If Fergie wants to spend millions on one or two new faces then the Plc will insist on major recoupment as they did with Stam. Whilst Veron would seem the obvious candidate we may be in for a big surprise here

What would be that exactly? If we sell Ruud we'll have to sign a replacement (and we need a new striker as it is!) which will cost big money. Selling Keane is surely out of the question as he's worth so much more to United than any price tag we can put on him, at 30 years of age.

Nope, sounds like crap to me! :)

I won't be as quick to dismiss speculations like these in a flash as I am a born pessimist. Fingers crossed that all these rumours are rubbish.

Well, the clues suggest that Portillo will be offered as part of the Ruud deal, and we (or Nike) will sign Ronaldo making 4 strikers in all.

These rumours dont come from one guy on a forum - for that kind of rumour look up the Roy Keane is retiring on the 5th rumour, invented by someone's pure imagination.

These rumours come from people all over the place, little tidbits in websites, people in the know etc. Not the actual end product you see here, but things that come together in some way.

Problems here, anger there, fights and arguments, unhappy at playing 4-5-1 here, unhappy at being rested there, rumours of Real sniffing around, rumours of Ruud in Madrid, rumours of Man Utd looking at Portillo, Ruud is leaving, shock announcements etc etc etc.

Not one source, no outright claim that RVN is out the door, just lots of rumours that seem to fit together. Thats whats weird about the whole thing, just have to wait and see.

That, however, is somewhat at odds with the dinner conversation that AEBM allegedly had with the sports managment company the other night and which kicked this whole thread off.

I've never mentioned 5th July

In fact, I did say that we're genuinely after Rio

Would seriously doubt the Ruud rumour. The guy has tremenduos respect for SAF after the way he kept in touch with him during his injury. Unless the Jipp Japp thing involved Ruud in someway? All speculation really.

But the point about Keane not admitting defeat to the FAI and the media is a very salient one. Maybe there is going to be some major announcement from the PLC about the Keane affair. Perhaps the PLC is going to bring an action against the FAI for abandoning Keane and letting him make his own way home from Saipan. I mean, Keane is an assest on the balance sheet and maybe the PLC's insurance people want to make a point.

It is all speculation but I find it really hard to believe that both SAF and the club will let how Keane was treated go, so maybe there is something in the Keane story that will be revealed after the WC. Then again maybe this thread is all bullshit!!!!

Ronaldo is staying with Inter, as their president insisted yesterday yet again. They have no reason to sell him and I don't really see United shelling out 25m on him at the moment.

As for Ruud, there were rumours a month ago he was in Madrid, that even the few sites that published them called them 'unlikely'.

Now we have that new rumours he's set to be leaving. I'm sorry, I just don't see that as anything conclusive, just very vivid imaginations. We keep hearing about 'rows' between Fergie and RVN, but there was never EVER any slight hint that such a thing exists. Indeed, it seems both men are highly appreciative of each other.

.....there are some right wankers on this forum. Talking it big with their "insider" knowledge.

Get a feckin life you bunch of sad muppets.

AEBM do you have a turd for breakfast? Everytime you open your stupid mouth I can smell the shit from here.

Ah there you are Davo, I was wondering what you would think about my theory on Kenny. A bit of a provocative one I must admit. You're right he did it in the early days at 'Pool and in fairness there were off the pitch issues that made his life very difficult. But he's never done it at any other club.........don't mention Blackburn, too painful ;) . Anyways, i'll be in trouble for turning this post into a Kenny Daglish thread.

He was successful as the Liverpool player-manager, you can't argue against it!

No, I normally have a cappucini and a couple of crossaints from Starbucks for breakfast

;)

Sounds strange to me...
Ad Jaap, is the Lazio defence really strenghtened by him ?No. Is Holland in the WC ? No. So Fergie might have been right about him.
Selling Ruud ? That would make a new transfer record...or thereabouts. Besides, it's horseshite!
Keano? Is AF considering letting Veron take his position(not his duties) and let him have his succesful position from the Lazio days ?
Hm......
